Appearance: Slightly above average height pony with a short, black mane and somewhat rough tail. Has light yellow fur and dark brown eyes. Can typically be found wearing clothes almost all the time. Has birthmark in the shape of a cross on his front right hoof.

Personality: Pontiac is young, energetic and intelligent pony who puts rational thinking above emotional consideration. Despite his energy and sometimes almost talkative nature, he can also be paradoxically pensive and reserved. He is spontaneous, and often works better alone than in groups. Although not completely introverted, he does lack a good deal of deeper social understanding and can often be frustrated by others emotional thinking. <br /><br />Pontiac can be difficult to befriend, but he is loyal, and he always enjoys the company of good friends. He is averse to romantic or more than platonic relationships. He is fairly playful and energetic, and when around people he knows and trusts, he is very easygoing and confident. He is not privy to emotional baggage, and can get along with even the most emotionally broken people. <br /><br />However he is often plagued with the perception- especially with strangers, that he is cold, deliberate, and almost scheming, and sometimes his pensive and reserved nature among strangers makes him seem like a sort of threat or untrustworthy. However, he is often caught up in his own thinking, that he doesn't even notice this! <br />

Backstory: Pontiac is the son of two ponies living in Equestria who migrated from a southern pony nation in the southwestern nation called the Heartland Republic. Driven by their own ambitious motives, they conceived him as only a means to fulfill their own selfish desires. When things fell apart, his father left at a young age, and was left under the care of an uncaring and almost domineering mother. After he decided it would be best to run away, he gave everything up and left to the Heartland to see the fabled place for himself. Seeking adventure, he traveled around wandering through the country and enjoying his independence. After some time, he decided to attend the Heartland Magic Academy, which he placed in through talent and practice. Quickly raising through the ranks to a higher levels, he caught up in the years he lost wandering the country. While in the academy, he learned essential intellectual and traditional skills as well as new magic to expand himself to new horizons. He would make new friends and go on many adventures there, before heading back to Equestria. Here, he would begin a new era in his own life an hopefully continue the adventures he had in the Heartland.
