Species: Pegasus

Appearance: Very athletic with a medium body and quite agile in the air, but isn't much for sports, except for regular flying which he LOVES to do. He also wears a pair of white and black headphones around his neck everywhere he goes. The earpiece parts of the headphones are quarter notes. White is the primary color of the headphones and black is the secondary. May add more identifying features later. Ask me. The picture of the cutie mark is below.

Cutie Mark: My character's cutie mark is 2 tiered solid white brain/radio waves to indicate his love for music and passion/expertise in psychology.

Personality: Psyche is an extroverted, fun loving and stimulation seeking Pegasus. He looks for new experiences, but doesn't let this desire get over his head. He is ambitious, though and can get over-competitive without meaning to, leading to some obsession to win and anxiety if he does not. He's very sympathetic, however and doesn't mind lending a ear or hoof to a pony who needs it. In hostile situations, he looks to go for diplomacy and the "everyone wins" method. He is mature, but believes in having fun. He appreciates small talk and the more deep things in life. He seeks adventure and can be spontaneous. He secretly prides himself in his intelligence and capacity to understand others. It gives him meaning in himself. He is incredibly tuned to music and can easily listen to his favorite music every day. Although with all these upsides, he does have a few more downsides. He can sometimes lose track of time and, therefore be late, or manage his time poorly. He also has a problem of playing before working. He finds himself at crunch time because he waits to the last minute often, but almost always still manages to get it done. He is creative and intelligent, but not snobby and looks for ways to express himself even if it's by being a little different from other ponies. He finds joy in his life knowing that he attracts so many friends because of his overall bubbly personality. At his worst, he can also be a little obnoxious due to his extroversion, but it's all meant in good endearing fun, as he hopes others see it this way. He has an affinity for cold weather and takes advantage of flying up into the sky just to feel the chill wind in his wings. He also has a quirky side to him and a habit of checking his mane and fixing it every now and then, and would feel INCREDIBLY awkward if somepony sees him do this.

Backstory: Psyche grew up troubled -- going through some rough patches growing up and dealing with bullying and loneliness because of his difference. Although he is extroverted, he keeps a lot of his past pain to himself. He has matured since the worst of it, developing a positive personality in order to deal with his turbulent past and confront the future with optimism. Every so often, his past catches up to him, though, and he finds himself spending a fair bit of time to himself inside, wondering if anyone notices his absence. It's during these times when he feels the most unsure of himself and alone. This past is the huge reason why he tries to be as understanding as he is.<br /><br />He received his cutie mark at a later age in young adulthood, later than most ponies. It was his first trip to a music-therapy meeting in a psychology club he had joined and suddenly, he found that his cutie mark appeared at last -- the combining of the two most passionate things in his life: music and psychology.
