Backstory: Rainbow had just moved to Ponyville as a small colt. His parents often argued a lot resulting in his mother going to a bar and drinking or his father going on long "Business" trips when actually he was just going to las Pegasus for gambling which means I had a foal sitter a lot. She was really nice and she was a unicorn making it easier to make food and help me with what homework I had. Eventually I got tired of my parents coming home either angry or drunk so I ran away. Eventually i stumbled upon Cloudsdale where every pony gave me a warm welcome. They even gave me some bits to buy a house! Living alone with my best friend, Flash Bolt we would have some fun by pretending we were Wonderbolts. One day I was sitting in my room drawing some pictures with Bolty (I called him that as a nickname) when a white flash lit up the room. When my eyes adjusted to the new light I saw my friend staring at my flank. I then looked at my flank and there it was. My Cutie Mark! It was a pencil and a paint brush intersecting. I was the second in my class to get my cutie mark. the first being Bolty with his 8 bit 16th note. I was so proud.
