Appearance: Repulse is a pony with a color scheme that is almost exclusively shades of blue. His coat is a diluted shade, whilst his mane is a far deeper shade. The ends of his mane and the streaks of his tail contain a lighter sky blue color, and the irises of his eyes are a perfect solid blue.<br /><br />He's a stallion with an average body build, a shortish multi-striped tail and a short, sectioned-off haircut, being slightly longer in the back than his bangs in the front.

Cutie Mark: Being fairly adept in gravity magic and push/pull forces, Repulse's cutie mark reflects the planet Equestria is located on, as it features the very pull of gravity that influences ponies every day. The planet is wrapped in a circle at the center of four arrows; a symbol reminiscent of the 'Center of Gravity', a scientific concept for locating the center of an object's weight distribution.

Personality: While not necessarily timid or shy, Repulse is very introverted and can become anxious easily, especially around others or when he's put into the spotlight. That being said, he is always comfortable around his small but close group of friends. He's very protective of these friends, and acts much like the voice of reasoning for when there are arguments; he dislikes confrontation, and tries to get everyone else to find a common ground to compromise on, instead of picking sides.<br /><br />On occasion, Repulse's nerves and anxiety have been known to slump him into rather toxic moods, in where his already introverted tendencies cause him to isolate himself completely from interacting with others. When he does interact like this, he can be very short-tempered, jealous, angry and childish. These moods usually don't last very long, and almost always have an identifiable root cause, but if his friends and those who know him well enough know one thing, it's that leaving him alone whilst in these circumstances is far better than trying to cheer him up. Some moods, you just have to let fester over.<br /><br />Last but not last, though by no means a bookworm, he enjoys science and math, and is fairly knowledgeable in physics, especially; a trait that further allowed him to master his natural born talent for gravity magic.

Backstory: Born in Baltimare, Repulse is a member of a family of unicorns known for specializing in certain aspects of magic. From a young age, he gave off a clear affinity for pull and push forces, just as that of a magnet. His parents and early teachers assumed he had an electric affinity or a magnetic affinity (both of which focused on metallic objects), and his parents named him Repulse Magnet, thusly; a purposeful oxymoron implying that he can both attract objects like a magnet, and repel them as well.<br /><br />As the years passed, Repulse's aptitude for pull and push forces increased as he practiced spells and studied basic sciences to try and understand his magic, and to ultimately earn his cutie mark, whatever it may be. As foals often do though, Repulse's excitement for discovering his talent had begun to lose steam the more he continued to get no real results. But, what a more convenient time for his magic maturation to hit him, than the tail-end of his fixation on achieving it? <br /><br />While hiking through some of the shallow woods surrounding Baltimare with his father, Repulse's horn had ignited with a spark, and out of nowhere, large sections of earth below and around him began to spring up out of the ground and sustain themselves in mid-air. On that day, Repulse earned his cutie mark, and both he and his parents were treated to the surprise of his magic's actual affiliation; gravitational force. Unlike electromagnetism, Repulse's push and pull force stemmed to any and all objects due to the force of gravity, and not due to electromagnetic fields generated by himself, as his parents had previously believed. Gravity magic, though not too uncommon for higher level unicorns, is rare for a pony to have a specialization in. <br /><br />Despite this luck of the draw however, Repulse was, and to this day remains fairly shaky in just about every other kind of magic; even spells that basic unicorns usually have no trouble with. He is barely able to teleport at the best of times, can only levitate one moderately sized object at any given time, and knows very little about other fields of magic. In his younger years of school, he was often subject to being picked on for such, even with his cutie mark and talent having been discovered.<br /><br />Eventually, after finishing school and knowing that his passion for physics was what he wanted to pursue as a career, Repulse trained to become an engineer at one of Equestria's largest known lab facilities, and moved from Baltimare to the Hollow Shades; a secluded region found not far from Fillydelphia, and just East of Neighagra Falls.
