  • Rift

    Jellal Fernandes

    • Age: 27

      Gender: Male

      Species: Non-Pony

Appearance: Blue eyes, black hair, always wears a hoodie with a long neck so as to cover his face. He looks somewhat like a scrawny Channing Tatum, due to what appears to be a lack of muscles, as he tends to wear baggy clothes.

Personality: Willing to do whatever will benefit society as a whole, he will gladly kill corrupt CEOs, dictators, murderers, rapists, etc. He doesn't tend to focus on small crime, instead focusing more on what governments and large businesses are doing. He can be easily angered, and when angered, will kill anything in his path. When he deems something/someone terrible enough that it/they must be destroyed/killed for the good of humanity, he's going to destroy/kill it/them. This also means that he'd be willing to let innocents die if it meant saving more. He tends to be overly confident in his plans in skills, still being brash in the prime of his life.

Backstory: Life was great for Emile Truman. He got through college as a stellar student and went on to join a very successful technology company. Being new to the company, he was willing to volunteer for experiments. When he heard around the office that the top scientists were supposedly creating a weapon used for military purposes, and that they were selling to the highest bidder, he instantly wanted to find out what it was. It turned out to be a machine that could rip stable holes in space-time that would allow travel across hundreds of miles in a matter of seconds, and allow access to an older version of a battlefield, so as to never need more ammo. When he realized the possible devastation this could create, he attempted to disable the machine that night. When he entered, he instantly triggered an alarm and, in a hurry, started smashing the machine to bits. When he was almost done, it exploded, leaving his body bloody and battered, and when the company's security came into the room and targeted Rift, he raised his arms in front of himself, cowering, and managed to create a hole through space-time himself. He had been thinking about his home that he would never see again, and that's where he ended up. It was then he realized he couldn't be his old self. He had to be someone new. He had to be an expert in hand-to-hand combat, a master marksman. He had to master all forms of combat. He had to become Rift. His professors always commended him for being a fast learner, so it couldn't be too hard, could it? He is currently off-the-grid, as he is on several government watchlists. He has no family, and has little as far as a life is concerned. He's just "the nerd who works in IT." He currently goes by John Oliver.
