Appearance: She has a blue body, greeny-blue mane, and deep blue eyes. She is the last of a thought-to-be-extinct race of ponies- the aquamares. They look like Pegasus ponies, but are weak flyers and cannot step onto clouds. They use their wings to propel themselves through the water, reaching incredible speeds.

Cutie Mark: A blue dart with a tail that looks like a river. She earned it very late, when she saved a pony who was going to drown in a river.

Personality: She is brave, but prefers to be alone. She loves to swim. She has 4 best-friends.

Backstory: She was found in a wicker basket floating on the river in ponyille and taken into the orphanage. As she grew up, she never spoke a word. When she was 5(in human years)<br />, the orphanage staff took the fillies to the lake for swimming lessons. As soon as River Dart stepped into the water, she knew,this was where she was meant to be. <br />She was by far the best swimmer from the orphanage...no, maybe the best in ponyville...possibly even the best in Equestria! That night, as River Dart arrived<br /> back at the orphanage after her secret swim in the lake, she heard voices coming from the study.<br />"its not natural, i tell you. A filly shouldn't be able to swim like that straight away- she hasn't had any lessons, well not as far as i know about. In fact, from <br />this morning, it looked as though she had neer been in the water before!"<br />The other pony spoke.<br />"I sent a letter to princess Celestia this afternoon and she replied almost straight away.It seems that.... what was her name?"<br />"She doesnt have one."<br />"Oh, ok. It seems that, from what weve gathered- the blue colour, the love of water and swimming, how she was found on the river...- ,this little filly is ...um...<br />Aquamare!"<br />She stumbled backwards and tripped on a stray book and landed on her back. She knew they were talking about her... but... an aquamare?That couldn't be true...could it? No pony was told about it, and nopony but The Princess and Miss Melons(the head of the orphanage) found out....
