Cutie Mark: His cutiemark is a brick with a clipboard on top. This represents his practicality and materialism, and his skill in managing his possessions. He earned it through generously working to pay a friend's debts during his late childhood.

Personality: Rubato is ambitious. He is selfish. He's practical. He has a very reasonable moral compass.<br />Rubato is very loyal and patient with his friends and loved ones, at the expense of him being materialistic, stubborn, and unwilling to compromise on matters of both great importance and matters that are unbelievably minor. <br />Rubato is very good at keeping a poker-face, to the point that he can fool others into thinking they can read him like a book when in reality they've only seen just one part of him. Besides, he isn't the kind of guy to be overly emotional.<br /><br />This segways into something else to note about his personality: He is sensitive, but he isn't very in-tune with his emotions. He doesn't understand them very well and frequently pushes them aside, as he believes there are more important matters than what he feels in the moment. As a result of pushing said emotions to the side, he sometimes may snap after a certain amount of stress because he just couldn't do it anymore. He rarely snaps, but when he does, it can be very violent and perhaps even spectacular. In addition, his lack of understanding emotion can be a problem in interaction with far more sensitive or emotive ponies than him, as he'll look apathetic when he just can't relate.<br /><br />It was mentioned that he was materialistic. He values his personal possessions highly. When his property is damaged, or he feels that it's threatened or in danger, he'll protect it because it belongs to him. He can usually find a use for a lot of what he owns, and when he comes to not being able to use something, he'll either repurpose it or dispose of it. Money and food are both things that can easily motivate him into doing something, and this doesn't always mix very well with his selfish nature. However, his materialism does mix well with his practicality.<br /><br />He has some interests in self-exploration, developing his personality, and how he affects other people. He's interested in astrology, roleplay, and enjoys staying in a tight-knit group of friends. He has no hangups with either sex of pony. Politically, he would usually vote between moderate and conservative for smaller governments.<br /><br />He is generally introverted and keeps to himself in large crowds, but acts extroverted around his friends and in smaller groups.
