Backstory:
<p>
Ruby's parents where often out of the kingdom for work, leaving her to grow up with different foal sitters, and when she was old enough, alone. Instead of that fueling a need for friends, her inability to form a relationship with her parents or even one of her ever-changing foal sitters made it hard for her to maintain relationships most of which fell apart rather quickly.

<p>
With a lack of other ponies around her, she went into studying magic and history, finding herself with a deep hatred for the alicorn rulers. She felt it was unfair that they could be so loved when she felt as though she had no pony. With her foalhood having been the way it was, sadly Ruby had a warped idea of how to gain love and affection like the alicorn rulers had. She thought with power came love, and she had no pony to correct her in this.

<p>
Figuring that if she became powerful like the ruling ponies, she would be loved, Ruby delved deeper into her studies of the magical arts, soon leaving the Crystal Kingdom as she had delved into the deepest kinds of magic she could find there, but found herself still needing still needed more. She can now be found traveling the land similar to the way the illusionist Trixie Lulamoon does, with her home on her back, though over the years she does not travel alone much.

<p>
Ruby, not wanting other foals to be as sad as she was, often volunteers in schools when she comes to a town she will be staying in for more then a few days, usually small towns with an old history. In these small towns she often reads in the schools, makes copies of educational manuscripts she has, and over all tries to improve the fillies lives the best she can. While she can be rather brash with other adults, Ruby makes it a top priority for ensure that no filly is going through the same kind of abandonment that she had.

<p>
That, however, is not always a good thing in the eyes of some.
</p>
<p>
Ruby no longer travels alone because she has convinced a few teen-year foals and surprisingly a full grown colt to willingly join her cause, promising that when she comes to power no pony will ever have to feel like they are alone. This small but growing flock of hers travel alongside Ruby, often with their own carts or a saddle bag or two of belongings. Her flock, as she goes town to town, help her gain more of a following; as the years have gone past, Ruby no longer fears having to use the magic she has learned to forcefully gain the power she feels she needs to be truly loved. The power of talk, the promise of nopony being alone, the promise of no filly having a broken heart like she did, they seemed to draw others similar to her in. She planned to create her own empire, after travels over all of Equestria and the neighboring empires, gaining followers of any pony, or other species, seeking a place where no one will be left alone.

<p>
Once she establishes a place for her following, she plans to spread her beliefs as far as she can and bring as many creatures to her as she can get, white keeping her flock safe and happy through any means necessary.

<p>
Ruby Heart is not directly good or evil; she is doing what she believes to be the right thing, and has not let anyone sway her thought of that regardless of the opposing persons views. As of yet, she has focred no pony into becoming one of her followers, all fillies and full grown ponies coming of their own accord. She does not believe she is 'stealing' away ponies foals with what she is doing, knowing that is the foals left their parents for her, the parents must have been neglectful as her own.
