Appearance: Eye colour: Gold<br />Character colour: Half Eagle / Half Lion griffon. White feathers with a few darker brown ones smattered throughout on her eagle half. Dark gold fur on her lion half, with a stripe down her spine that’s darker than the rest.<br /><br />Mane/Tail/Other: She keeps her feathers slicked back to give an oiled look, both to keep them out of her way and (supposedly) to make her fly faster. She keeps her wings preened, being incredibly proud of them. There’s also a scar over her right eye. She’ll claim it’s from something like a monster, but the truth is it was left by a horse shoe after receiving a hoof to the face. She has a number of silver bracelets on either talon if she's relaxing, but takes them off to fly.<br /><br />Physique: A strong young griffon, Sabel is lean and muscled. Spends most of her time either flying or practicing for flying, so she does everything she can to keep body fat at bay.

Personality: Sabel can come across as a little rude and abrasive, though she certainly doesn't mean to be that way. She's got a rather wild personality, so sometimes she just misbehaves in civilized areas by accident. She's fiercely loyal to her friends and will be the first to volunteer to help any of them.<br /><br />She can have a quick temper most times, and if angered she tends to either want to fly for long periods of time or hit something (Though she'll control herself enough to not actually hit someone else... Unless the RP allows that!). When her temper has the best of her she may try to act out or snap at someone, but she'll quickly and meekly try to fix whatever harm she causes if she does happen to snap at a friend.<br /><br />Despite the fact she can be a little rough around the edges, she truly hates being alone. She'll do everything in her power to keep from having to leave a friend, even if it means something she feels would be truly embarrassing. Anypony who manages to get past any first impressions she may give will find a fierce and loyal-to-the-end friend in the young griffon.<br /><br />Like many skilled fliers, Sabel has a tendency to get arrogant when it comes to her abilities, especially if they're called into question. She knows she isn't the best flier in Equestria, but she also knows she's agile enough in the skies to hold her own in competition.<br /><br />She has a deep respect for ponies now, and tends to have no problems getting along with them apart from any clashes that arise from her regular personality.

Backstory: Sabel's litter was born to a couple of kind griffon parents near the outskirts of Las Pegasus. From an early age she was labeled as the 'wild one' among her brothers and sisters, always roaming farther from the nest and getting into more trouble than the others. Once she was old enough to start flying her parents had trouble getting her to return to the nest until it was time to eat, until one day she just didn't come back.<br /><br />She had decided that it was silly to keep returning to the nest when there was so much of Equestria still to see, and so Sabel just kept flying. Eventually she realized that she had forgotten to pack anything, not even food, but by then she had flown farther then ever before and couldn't find her way back to the nest. Seeing a small group of ponies having a picnic below, the cocky young griffon thought she could simply take some food from them. She had never encountered ponies before this point, only watched them from a distance, but they didn't look all that dangerous!<br /><br />A quick hoof to the face quickly changed her attitude about that after she tried bossing these ponies around, though she was surprised when the pony that kicked her then apologized and offered her a bit of food to make up for it. Confused but intrigued by these ponies Sabel became much more agreeable (which to some degree had to do with her head still ringing) and traveled with them back to the city.<br /><br />After spending a few days among the ponyfolk, Sabel decided she rather enjoyed their company. She did make a journey back to her nest to let her family know she was okay, but then took off to explore Equestria and see how many more of these ponies she could meet.
