Cutie Mark: In the Past: Runic symbol for Kenaz: torch.<br /><br />Present: Two twin swords, Gold and silver, each with a runic symbol on the blade forming an 'X'. The silver blade has the runic symbol: Kenaz: torch while the gold sword has the runic symbol: hagalaz: Hail.

Personality: In the past: Cheerful, boastful and hard working.<br />Present: Calm, collected and most of the time, sadistic.

Backstory: Around 200 years after Luna's banishment to the moon and doing the 'recovery era', Saber Slash was originally name was Rune Amethyst, a light pinkish colored pegasi.<br /><br />During her filly years, she was a hard-working inspirational speaker in a Manehatten. Most of times she spends her time either inspiring ponies and caring for plants in the garden or playing with her friends. It wasn't until her pegasi friend, Sky Dive, made-up a racing group called Wonder Blitz (later change to The Wonder Bolts) that he accidently crashed Rune into an old library where she found an old ancient book on Rune Magic. Excited by her find, she became engrossed into it.<br /><br />In the following 3 years, She can use Runic Magic, that despite that she was a Pegasi, can 'write' the symbols on different objects (Air included)for various effects, by alternating the properties of various objects (ex: water becoming cleaner, keeping bugs away from harvest, improve ingredients in food, etc...). This act caught Celestia's attention and impressed by the magic art and its usage, she token Rune as her personal student, which Rune accepted.<br /><br />At the age of 13, she became known as the Jewel of Rune, much to her displeasure. Celestia herself told her that Rune will bring in a new era of peace for all of Equestia. Unknown to both of them, some of the nobles refuse to accept Rune and her ‘magical writing’ as a lost art as, to them, ‘a commoner with fancy writing should NOT be living with those who are born into greatness.’ This was ignored by Celestia as she thinks their overreacting. This, however cause them to think of a plan to remove Rune from the ‘sanctified lands of Canterlot from commoner filth.’ The plan succeeded as, despite Rune’s and Sky Dive testimony, Rune was given the guilty verdict and was banished to the sun.<br /><br />Two and a half years later, she was released from her imprisonment by Celestia and her old friend Sky Dive, found the truth of the ‘murder’ and was cleared of all charges. Despite this however, her time in the sun caused her coat and hair to darken to dark magenta and burning out the upper portions of the wings and grew resentful to both Celestia and the royals of Canterlot. Before she disappeared, she promised to both her old mentor and friend that she WILL destroy the royals of Canterlot and will stop at nothing to see them dead.<br /><br />At the age of 18, while Celestia was away, she infested 67 % of Canterlot with Para-sprites that attack only the nobles responsible for her imprisonment, forcing them to upper manehatten, the richer area. During the time in the center of upper Manehatten, Celestia ready to raise the sun for the Summer Sun Celebration, Rune reappeared again, surprising Celestia and the crowd, taunting the citizens of Canterlot, who were the only ones there as Rune assured Celestia that her the Summer Sun Celebration ‘gift’ to the populace ’ is only for the ponies of Canterlot. Disappointed in her student’s sudden appearance, she tried to attack Rune only for Rune to detain Celestia in a Rune-empowered containment sphere, made just for Celestia to reflect and absorb her magic. Using the dumbfounded shock from the crowd, she quickly activated her ‘gift’ she dubbed ‘Blood Fort Morgana’. The Blood Fort turned all living organism within an 5 mile radius from the epicenter , save for herself and Celestia (she still in the sphere), into pure magic energy, purifies it then absorb all it magic into Rune For 5 mins. When the fort shattered felted empowered by the multiple energies she absorbed and went to attack Celestia who power was severely drained by the fort. After nearly defeating the sun goddess, Rune’s body began to emploded on itself. Realizing the fatal error in her plan that her body can handle that much magical energy at once, she let out one final scream before exploding, leave her ‘body’ as a dry-up corpses.<br />Three days later ‘Rune’ reawakens to find that she is still alive. Confused by this, she when back to her private hideout, only found it raided by a group of bandits. Quickly taking care of them she saw herself in the mirror that she was now an Alicorn while her face was littered with scars from the bandit attack. Further confused by this she quickly flew back to Manehatten. On the way she saw a disclosed funeral near Canterlot, and hid among the shadows to see. To her horror, the funeral was for her and her body of Rune Amethyst was lowered. The only two ponies there was her mother, Sky Dive and Celestia. Each pony gave a speech on how each of them failed to save Rune from herself and how much them each will miss her. Shocked by this revelation and devastated by this revelation, she ran away from the site to cry for the first time in ages.<br /><br />At the age of 20 (close to 2 yrs. old after being reborn), she appeared to next to her dying mother’s deathbed to see her one last time to departing. Hearing that her mother always knew Rune was destined for great things and never once gave up hope that her daughter was alive, she calmly passed away. After giving her mother a proper burial, she appeared one last time to both Sky Dive, who is now started a school called the Wonder Bolt Academy and Celestia. Both time apologizing for what she has done and congratulating them on their success. When Celestia tried to reconnect with Rune by asking if she want to be her student again, she politely refused as she is no longer Rune Amethyst but now Saber Slash a ‘pseudo- Alicorn’ as she never earned her right as a princess. Before she left, she made one final promised that if Celestia fails to save somepony from themselves, she will save them for her. That was the last time the Teacher and Student last met in 765 years.<br /><br />Current location: Unknown
