Personality: Salem is a Tondrake agent operating in Equestria under the banner of Changeling. He is harsh and bitter, an cynic on his leader's views of a take over, and of Equestria in general. Salem views his changeling comrades as tools, simple life forms that are pathetic. He views the ponies as emotional fools, loving and caring in a much darker world. Salem resents his position in Equestria, believing his leader's plans of alliance and invasion to be worthless and unlikely. Salem will often punish those who go against him, regardless of which side they are fighting for.<br />

Backstory: The Tondrake are a race of draconic desert lizards who dwell in the rocky areas of the desert albiet in scarce numbers. The Tondrake leader believes in establishing a civilised empire for the Tondrake, however a lack of knowledge and industry have made this impossible. Jealous of Celestia's vast empire, the leader jumped at a chance to get his claws on some of it by assisting the changelings. He sent a single soldier, the highest ranking warrior in the group (Salem) to establish a power for the Tondrake in Equestria, while helping the changeling allies.<br /><br />Salem was born a bitter cynic, reverred for his lack of emotion and remorse. This relentless personality of hatred and violence soon led to him rising through the ranks of the Tondrake military, eventually becoming their top agent. After the uprising began, Salem was quickly (and reluctantly) sent to represent the Tondrake in battle. Alone, and among unfamiliar species, his cynicism and hatred flourished.
