Age: 35
Gender: Female
Species: Non-Pony
Appearance: Four-winged Griffin

Silverish-gray head
Dark gray coat.
4 wings.

Personality: Salleria, at her core, is very conflicted. She desires peace, yet, due to a past betrayal that caused her to lose... everything, she has convinced herself that violence is the only true answer.

She tries to be introverted; she's usually not the one to initiat friendly banter.

She now takes a clinical, emotionless attitude towards killing other ponies. However, she can lose control of her emotions if her opponent incites her past memories and convictions. ( e.g her opponent shows her mercy despite her trying to kill them, reminding her of her past hope for peace )

Backstory: She was a bubbly kid, always giving her best at whatever challenge was given to her to earn her parent's approval. She wanted to make her parents proud, to impress them.

Although her parents didn't show it, they were extremely impressed by her skill. Though, they chose not to show it, to see how far Salleria could push herself.

As years went by, Salleria became old enough to work for the clan. He parents gave her a black katana, a bladed that had seen many battles, handed down generations.

A weapon of pure violence.

She became an assassin, taking down priority targets with an astoundingly high success rate.

However, each mission, she was given little snippets of life outside of the clan. She began to feel increasingly conflicted. She wondered if there was more to her life than fighting. If there was more to life than violence.

Eventually, she starts showing more and more mercy, letting her targets go and sparing their lives. She now recognized them as griffins with their own lives. Feelings. Families. Hopes.

One a fateful day, she was given a crucial mission. The opposing clan's elder was vulnerable, she was venturing into the forest. Salleria was deployed to kill her once and for all. To end the war.

Her mission, just like her others, was going flawless so far. She disposed of the escort with ease, cutting them down in a swift ambush. She finally came to face to face with the elder. A single swing of her blade. an easy kill. Just one swing to bring victory to her clan.

She couldn't bear to do it. Children hid behind the elder, quivering in fear. They were merely out for a picnic. The elder simply wanted to give the children a chance to see the outside world. She dropped her weapon , to the elder's surprise.

In a surreal moment, the elder offered to let her join their picnic. Salleria accepted, and they sat down and had tea together. They talked about life. They talked about the trees. It was an almost humorous scene. The topic inevitably drifted to the clan's feud. To Salleria's surprise, the elder admitted that she simply wanted peace. She 'explained' the situation to her. She made Salleria believe that the feud could finally come to an end.

Or so Salleria believed.

They chatted for a few hours more. Salleria would even say that they had become good friends. With fresh hope in her heart, she headed back to her clan.

Only to be greeted by the flames of war. Her village was ablaze, war cries echoing through the night sky. The Kuroshi clan had invaded, and were unfortunately very successful. Salleria couldn't believe her eyes. She had been tricked. The elder stalled her. They abused her mercy.

They betrayed her.

Salleria went on a murderous rampage, claiming a weapon from a fallen warrior and tearing apart enemy after enemy. She spilled more blood that night than her career of cherry picked assassinations combined.

But alas, she couldn't stand against an army. Her stamina faltered. Rage could only get her so far. She fled into the forest, her 4-winged agility giving her ridiculous mobility through the trees.

She eventually lost her pursuers. She had lost her sense of direction in her haste; not like she had anything to return to anyway.

Salleria walked. She wandered, directionless and living off the bounty of the forest. As she walked, her thoughts drifted to that fateful night. All the lives she had taken. Meaningless killing. What difference did she make? The Kuroshi clan would have won anyway. Just a few more families in mourning.

She became regretful. Every day, she felt her sins crawling on her back. And yet, yet, she could never forgive the betrayal that had cost her her home. Her family. If only she had been more merciless. If only she had been more violent.

If only she had killed that bitch.

Salleria eventually wandered into equestria, where she made a living doing odd jobs ranging from farming to mercenary work, and even bounty hunting. She feels conflicted to this day.
