Personality: Paranoid: As her name suggests, Scaredy is afraid of her own shadow. Her imagination teems with conspiracy theories and she's slow to trust anypony.<br />Stubborn: Scaredy Cat never knows when to give up and she rarely makes compromises. <br />Observant: No detail escapes Scaredy! Even when at her wits end, she keeps track of her surroundings.<br />Brave: Sure, she's paranoid, but that doesn't mean Scaredy hides under her bed all day long. Usually. Because nobody else seems to notice the dangers of the world, Scaredy forces herself to get out there and warn ponies.

Backstory: Scaredy Cat has always been afraid. But as a filly, this meant staying holed up in her room for weeks at a time. When she did come out, other ponies would tease her and play tricks on her, especially about the cat.<br />Her neighbor had a big, black tomcat named Shadow that terrified Scaredy Cat. She was sure it was evil, some kind of Changeling in disguise. At first she ran away whenever she saw it, but one day her best friend's bird went missing. Certain Shadow had it, Scaredy raced over just in time to save the pet. <br />So maybe Shadow wasn't a Changeling. Maybe he was just a mean, old cat. She'd still been right to be worried about him! With this realization, Scaredy got her cutie mark and discovered her destiny: to defend unsuspecting ponies from the things she was most afraid of.<br />Now Scaredy lives alone and runs a newspaper. In it, she warns everypony about all the dangerous conspiracies they ought to be afraid of. To write her articles, she often goes out to investigate, despite her agonizing fear of just about everything.
