Appearance: Scourge is dark grey unicorn with a white mane and tail. He has yellow eyes, when using magic his sclera becomes green rather than white and a purple mist emanates from the corners of his eyes. He is normally seen wearing a dark purple long coat and white cravat with a red vest underneath.
Cutie Mark: Tribal shadowy claw like design. symbolizing his shadow magic and illusion abilities.
Personality: A cool headed and suave individual, Scourge holds himself as a dignified noble gentlecolt. He would rather have a civil conversation with his enemies rather than exchanging harsh, pointless insults and he looks down against those who are boastful and brash. Good and Evil are merely words to Scourge and that there is no absolute of either, though he will not deny his decisions are made without empathy. Scourge is the kind of individual to play the long game with his plans and with his immortality some of those plans are very long indeed. Scourge is incapable of genuine empathy but can feign it well. Scourge has a slight obsession over Princess Celestia; seeing her as a his opposite, a bright light, casting a long shadow. While Scourge was created with intellect and reason he was not born with free will; he is merely an instrument for the Umbrum and his sole purpose is to release the Umbrum from their prison. For this reason he harbors some resentment to his mistress the Shadow Queen.
Backstory: Scourge is the second attempt made by the Umbrum to free themselves from their entrapment underneath the Crystal Empire after Sombra’s first failure and subsequent imprisonment. Unlike Sombra, Scourge was created fully grown and possessing inherent knowledge. However, due to Sombra causing the crystal empire to vanish Scourge had no real way to gather the force necessary to free the Umbrum from their prison. He was also aware that alone a straightforward brute force attempt against Equestria would only result in failure. So instead he began to plan a way to get the princesses out of the way so his plans to free the other Umbrum would go unhindered. However most of his plans fell apart before they begun; mostly due to Scourge’s desire to remain cautious; fearing the same kind of fate that befell his ‘brother’.
