Appearance: He has a Dark-blue Coat, and light-and-dark-blue Mane and Tail. His horn isn't very large, it's about 6 inches.

Cutie Mark: His cutie mark is of the constellation Scorpio.

Personality: Shining is a very good pony. He is always there to help other ponies and is very good at magic and science. He has a job as a Physicist at the University of Canterlot, and in his free time he's usually playing with the Particle Accelerator at the University. He's very much like Twilight, always reading or doing experiments, and always trying to lend a helping hoof. (He's also VERY interested in Astronomy)

Backstory: Shining Midnight was born in Canterlot. When he was born, he was very gifted. He could already use his magic to lift things and open things. Although, if he used his magic too much he would go into a great pain. Up until now he's been studying Astronomy, Physics, and Quantum Mechanics (Though most ponies don't know about that). Even now he can't use his magic too much or he'll be in a great amount of pain.
