Personality: Shining Sunrise is almost always practicing her magic, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't fit time in for her friends. She will stand up for any pony that's being bullied and will use her magic to defend them. She is a happy-go-lucky type of pony and just takes whatever life throws her way and makes the best of it.

Backstory: Shining Sunrise was wondering through Ponyville and saw a lonely street bum. It was then, when she saw him as someone that was more beautiful on the inside than on the outside, that she had discovered that it was her job to point out the beauty in everything.
