Appearance: Charcoal black fur, white mane. The tip of her braided tail is charred black and frayed. Her eyes are orange. Always wears a helmet.

Cutie Mark: A lit bomb, for her uncanny ability to blow things up.

Personality: Short Fuse is either the unluckiest or the luckiest mare in the world. It seems like pain follows her everywhere she goes, and yet she always lives to fly another day.<br /><br />From a young age, she always seemed to demonstrate an uncanny ability to get herself (and others) hurt in spectacular ways. This has led her to become the most paranoid and neurotic pony in Equestria. She's afraid of everything, seeing any object as the trigger to another potential accident. She's even too afraid of landing so she's usually seen flying and scrunched up into a little ball.<br /><br />This fear is not without reason, given her reputation. But somehow, even though she attempts to avoid it, she's always given the most dangerous job. It's just her luck. Though sometimes, destruction is useful, so Red October has given her the task of being his demolitions 'expert', a job she both loves and dreads.<br /><br />Aside from being neurotic, she's incredibly loyal. She looks up to Red October like her own hero, and admires him to an obsessive degree. The others see her as a teacher's pet, but she doesn't care. She takes pride in being on the team, and does her best with a military fervour.<br /><br />Her various run-ins with explosives made her into a sort of encyclopaedia on blowing things up, and you can trust her to be able to cook up any kind of bomb you'll need, and she can do it fast. Whether or not she'll accidentally blow herself up with it, however, is another story.

Backstory: Short Fuse was born in Cloudsdale to proud and supportive parents, on Friday the 13th. Her parents tried their best with her, but nopony was safe from her legendary accident-proneness. Somehow she found a job at Cloudsdale's weather factory, which she enjoyed, until she caused a massive explosion (on her second day) and was fired.<br /><br />Shamed, Short Fuse became a drifter, feeling like a failure and thinking she'd never find her place. Enter Red October. In need of somepony who could do some damage, she was offered the job. Ever since then, she's done his dirty work.
