• Silver Arrow

    Deathmark1999

    • Age: Teenage; 17

      Gender: Female

      Species: Unicorn

Appearance: Arrow, for a trained young huntress, has a graceful body hiding strong muscles beneath. A length of silver locks of her mane cascades almost over her chest, tied with a rose copper amulet, etched with a large grass green gem and a few ancient hunter symbols. Her fringe brushes to the side, from her left side to her right in a wavy style. Her height is a few centimeters taller than Pinkie Pie, her coat a color similar to rose gold. Arrow's eyes are startling, silver eyes tuning to a simple willow grey nearing to the center, then a black pupil. Her horn, slightly longer than Twilight's sat on the top of her head, much sharper than usual due to odd twist of genes.

Cutie Mark: A glittery, silver aura surrounding a white arrow.

Personality: She appears to be mysterious and cold at first sight, but it's a good choice if you decide to brave yourself and try to befriend her. In the process, she can be insecure and hesitant to accept your request of friendship, but slowly she will reveal the warmer side of herself: friendly, optimistic, flexible, tomboyish and bold. In tense, stressful or hopeless situations, she is extremely calm, and she was normally considered insane for this by others.

Making her mad is a very, very difficult task, so most of the ponies in her school don't bother to do such a task. She can be loud at times when she gets so happy that she truly forgets her scarred past, or most probably when she's mad. When she has something up, her friends can quickly recognize that by her paces; light but drags on the ground.

Interests: art, sketching, reading, hunting, playing with her brother.

Backstory: Silver Arrow's kin had the tradition to have their surname first, so she prefers to be called Arrow.

Her kin is an ancient generation of hunters and huntress that are legendarily skilled to hunt down mythical creatures and others that said to be impossible to find. Unfortunately, against the rumors, they have no supernatural powers except for their own physical properties, either grace and flight of a pegasus, strength of an earth pony, or the magic of a unicorn, though all of them were equipped with the sense of a skilled hunter. However, they do not kill ones they hunt. Their law was to simply catch them, and extract resources that might not affect their lives. This is the golden law that is to be seared into the Silvers that wish to continue the kin's activity.

They're no richer than the royals or noble, but their economy wasn't as terrible as homelessness or poverty. They're rewarded the Greatest Explorers and Contributors of Equestria, but few know of them. Arrow's family, a small piece to the complex family tree of Silver, live in the cooling mountain woods a comfy, well designed house made out of logs, but when they require modern help or for a joy trip, they visit Canterlot.

Arrow was born, oddly enough, in the middle of a expedition in hunt for a legendary mutated griffin. A nuisance to bring along in such a dangerous expedition, her parents, father a pegasus Silver Fear, and mother a earth pony Emerald Bow, had to postpone the expedition until Arrow grew into a age safe and obedient enough to be led by her parents in a typical hunt, with her older brother Silver Thorn, a pegasus.

As a Filly, with the rest of children of the kin, she loved hunting with a burning passion. Her first instinct everyday was to play along with her father's hunting tools, a axe, armor for her father's wings, get blindly led around with a compass to her parent's humor, and chasing small animals around their backyard. Occasionally she can come back with triumph with some rabbit or a squirrel, despite the courage to see their blood was never in her favor, which earned her her brother's teasing. Sometimes, she practices with her mother of the basics of hunting, because her father was busy plotting locations for the next hunt.

Her cutie mark was earned by blood and tears and, of course, lots of passion, when she successfully caught two ducks with a single trap that she spent days scheming and creatively using arrows as a weapon to bring up the trap. Years and years ushered her to persuade her father to join the kin activity a little bit sooner, but he denied, again and again. This promoted the anger in her and caused early pony psychology problems. She wasn't as nuts about magic as hunting or Twlight Sparkle, considering she was only finally convinced that 'useless' horn on top of her head could so something at the age of 9.

Silver Thorn was a great brother, as Big Mac is to Applejack. He encased his little beloved sister with brotherly love, and was always there for her, sweetening her life as a filly. Though at times he will frustrate her when he puts down dangerous weapons that Arrow had her eyes on grinning and places that grin upside down immediately when he tells her never to touch it again. He was the one who finally persuaded she can do magic, and, finally, can retire from all the flying he had to soar around with a noisy weight on his back. In surprising times she might tackle him, and they bounce into a sudden wresting fight where they looked like they could tackle each other to death. Silver Thorn's presence itself was a great assurance for the parents, they didn't have to worry for the silly little filly when they go on hunts. He never complained that he wasn't able to go on hunts, providing Arrow wasn't there.

When she entered teenage, she was ready as ever as a young huntress in her family, growing surely and successfully from her practice in filly age. Magic took her priority at the age of 13, since she didn't do much magic as a young pony. When she isn't practicing defense against beasts, she buries herself in textbooks of complex magic, manipulation and combat magic. Unfortunately, her mother wasn't very happy when her bill from the book stores comes every month, needing Thorn to assure her that it was for the best. She entered her first hunt, with all the thrill she could muster for a 13 year old unicorn, accompanied by her parents. On the first sight, she had attempted to catch a golden horned deer, with stealthy steps and a cautious pace, but only the deer broke into a wild run by the sound of her letting out a mutter. She blamed herself entirely, and again, mentally saved by Silver Thorn once again. Arrow didn't dare to interfere with the rest of the journey, but she was still excited. She did try again for the next hunt, and again, and again. Her first real catch was on the third hunt, and, surprisingly, it was a scarce silver phoenix. By that experience, she finally grew more and more on each hunt, until the tragedy begins.

Discord came.

He loomed over the great land of Equestria and beyond, shading every corner a dark, gloomy shadow, raining drops of molten despair and fear into everypony's heart.

Ah, what else could he do when he touched the dark side?

When the corrupted beast reached the mountain lands, Arrow's parents came with the armor of might and the barricade of courage faced him with the greatest force they are able to muster, hiding Arrow and Thorn to a safe place among a colony barrier they trust.
Fortunately, they manage to frustrate Discord, but in the end, ironically, he turned both of them to statues of pure silver. He then sought for their children, successfully destroying the barricade and catching them giving raspy breaths. Arrow fearlessly used her magic and landed a deadly blow on Discord's tail, breaking his underestimation of her, following Thorn's massive pegasi blow. He saw through the Silver's love for Thorn and decided to instead change Thorn and Arrow immediately turning to stone, he let Thorn settle in a middle of a spell:
'From this day on,
and the doomed days to come,
tortured your heart shall always remain
for your pathetic brother
for every second you look at him
he will be close
every second,
every day
to what you call,
to what you honor
The Pride of Silver.'

After the Elements of Harmony had saved peace from his crushing hands, Arrow was finally assured, and started caring Thorn like the days he cared for him. As the days went by, Thorn was okay with having pure silver metaling his hooves, saying 'its just like having griffin eggs tied to your hooves', but that quote didn't last for long. Slowly, Arrow stared painfully at her beloved brother has it surpassed his legs, snatching his ability to move.

Arrow spent days and nights begging for help and ended up with the Mare Six in Ponyville. Unfortunately, they weren't able to help, with Celestia away for months and the elements of harmony, only stored in the Secret Room with only the Princess's horn as a key except for twilight's crown. Twlight came to their home and tried, but her unicorn powers can only hold so much mastery over magic. They left, with a fruitless result.

Thorn died after a few weeks in the shape of a statue, just like his parents.

Arrow cried for days for her beloved lost brother, who died with a assuring smile.

"Hey, you'll be fine. Just don't sell me as a statue, but if you do, keep the price high, 'kay, Arrow?"

After her funeral, she accepted a gift, a amulet carved with bronze and etched with tiny diamonds from her kin, representing the boldness and the honor she received for surviving such a terrible loss and fate. She wore it at where the scar was, to remind herself of the beloved family she had.

She arrived in Canterlot with the money her parents passed down to her, in search of a new life. She bought a small cozy villa near the woods, and decide to study and be a part time huntress to sell rare objects to collectors to pay her school fees.
