Appearance: Sleepy's coat is powder-blue. Her purple hair is kept relatively neat, except for a tuft near her ears. She has red eyes, not too different from Rainbow Dash's.

Cutie Mark: Hollow's cutie mark is a magnifying glass with purple bat wings on each side. The magnifying glass represents her talent for deducing things and the bat wings refer to her narcolepsy (an involuntary condition where you keep falling asleep whenever it is calming).

Personality: Hollow suffers from narcolepsy, a disorder where you involuntarily fall asleep in calming places. Her frequent sleep makes her disoriented after she wakes up, but she is used to it and is good at adapting to change. Hollow is very observant. She is not easy to manipulate, but likes to keep her condition a secret, and such can be blackmailed if you find out about her narcolepsy. <br />Hollow often forces herself to stay awake by drinking coffee, or inducing hyperactivity. It's taken a toll on her body somewhat, and she is often quite twitchy.<br />She is very inquisitive about the world around her, and constantly tries to find connections between things. She has a rather good memory; however, she still has the need to write things down in a very well-hidden set of journals.<br /><br />Hollow is fond of puns and has a good (albeit strange) sense of humor to go with it.<br />Hollow is also a very hardworking pony, and doesn't care about anything else while she has a task. She doesn't take care of her health a lot, but is generally in good shape. Hollow can resist the cold rather well, due to her brief stint in the Royal Guards.

Backstory: Hollow was born to a psychologist and a doctor in the quiet town of Ponyville. They did not discover her narcolepsy until she started to attend school, where her teacher constantly complained that she was a 'trouble child' and 'rulebreaker' due to her constant sleep. Her parents told her to get enough sleep, which had no effect. They took her to the doctor's and were shocked when she was diagnosed with narcolepsy. Things were explained to the teacher, to became much more lenient with Hollow.<br /><br />Later in her life, she applied to the Royal Guard to gather some life skills. After receiving basic training, she was sent to a sentry post near the Crystal Kingdom, where she was nicknamed 'the Owl' due to her constant sleeping. Hollow realized that her narcolepsy would never let her advance in the Guard, and resigned. She moved back to Ponyville, living in a small house near the outskirts of the Everfree.<br /><br />Her talent for deduction stemmed from a tip her mother told her: to avoid falling asleep, she could try and focus on details and analyse them. This would get her brain working. The tactic was effective and in addition to falling asleep less frequently, she could now learn things about ponies just by observing them.
