Cutie Mark: A question mark with strange markings around it; it is a rune for an ancient forgotten form of magic called essence magic, which allows ponies to tap into their essence, a pure form of their personality with nearly limitless power, but is extremely volatile with emotions.

Personality: Snow is a hard working, highly innovative and extremely smart pony who is generally really friendly and kind, however her constant working means her circle of friends is well...none.

Backstory: Snow was born to Sunlight Moonbeam, a minor Canterlot aristocrat, and Billy Mark, a self-made millionaire who made his fortune taking near complete control of the Equestria resources business. Snow was raised with one goal in mind; to take over the family company and lead it to brand new horizons. However, when it came to the time that most fillies got their cutie mark, Snow's turned out not to be business. So she spent huge amounts of time trying to find, although in a different way from most late bloomers, she studied books. Eventually, she found a single page in an ancient history book about Essence magic. With such little to go on, but feeling like it was something she should try, she got to work. A year later, at 11, she finally got it and her cutie mark. However, she continued to be groomed to take over the family business, being introduced more and more to the press. Finally, at the age of 19, she snapped. Her father finally pushed her over the edge and Snow's volatile essence magic responded in kind; by blowing up Mark Manor, killing virtually all of Snow's family besides her younger sister, Dark Light, who was training to be a Royal Guard at the time. Barely escaping jailtime or worse, Snow threw herself in grief into her work. Over the course of the eight years following, the innovations, inventions, and business practices she pioneered propelled Mark Corporations and Industries into a position of controlling nearly half the entire Equestrian economy, and still expanding rapidly. However, as time goes on, Snow finds herself wishing more and more that she had friends to fill the void in her life...
