He was awestruck by the beauty of Venice, but the thing he was taken by the most, were the masks people were wearing at the time. Because, when they were there, a festival was being held, people with masks filled the streets, of all different shapes and designs. He stayed up at night, thinking of how he might look in one. But when he finally had to go home, he wondered to himself, would he ever be able to come back, and see the wonderful masks again? <br />The next year, he was watching his favorite show, when a trailer for a new one started to air. "Join this eccentric detective through each case he solves!" He was fascinated by it, the commercial continued "Help him solve the case, and you might get the chance to meet the brave detective!" He was a smart kid, so when the episode aired a week later, he he had solved the case before the first commercial break. The tv studio was imperessed, but sceptical, so they told him he needed to solve more cases to meet the detective. That's exactly what he did for the entire season, sending in the answers every time, without fail. He finally got to meet him, but things were not as they seemed. The detective had eyes for the boy's mother, trying to suduce her, and gain access no his home. When he did, while the boy was asleep, the man snuck into the house and murdered both his parents. He was a serial killer, known for pulling the same trick on multiple families. That was the day the boy decided he was going to be a detective, to bring justice to detectives. And because the man who murdered his parents, was never convicted. He remembered the vacation he and his parents took to Venice, and he knew, to memorialize them, he wore the mask he wears today. And he also renamed himself, Sora Ushio, sky, and sea, to this day, no one knows what his real name is. Maybe even he has forgotten.
