Personality: Starlight is a young pony who's personality is heavily dependant on how comfortable she is around others, or how much she likes a pony.<br />Her basic personality scheme that covers her overall is that she's insecure. She's usually quite hesitant to do things without encouragement and doesn't take chances at all. This makes her very shy.<br /><br />Starlight is also very caring and considerate, but doesn't speak up often unless she feels comfortable about. (Due to her seclusive past she is very socially awkward as well.)<br /><br />However if she knows somepony well or trusts them, Starlight acts far more open. She act energeticly and "acts like the filly she truly is" when excited. <br /><br />However when Starlight is around people she knows little about, she will either be very quiet, or constantly appologize for the smallest thing. She fears disapproval (paranoid even) and often throws in about 5 variations of the word "please" in once question or request.

Backstory: Starlight's backstory can be quickly summarized by this; Lack of involvement.<br /><br />Starlight's history revolves around the fact that she grew up in a small cottage in the forest at the foot Foal Mountain. (East of Canterlot.) Her only social involvement was with her brother, who is 2 years older than her. (And her parents if they count as social involvement.)<br /><br />She rarely went anywhere and mostly remained home. However she occassionally with her parents permission would go out and look about the forest. She loved the smell of fresh trees and grass, and quite often got lost on her own accord just so she could remain in the forest. <br /><br />As Starlight grew up she began homeschooling. Her parents did not desire to place her in school, as she already lived secluded from interaction, and figured it would make for a bad result to suddenly surround her with peers. (More or less a wise decision in the long run.) She learned by her parents and what they brought her to read.<br /><br />Starlight's family consists of her Father, named White Luck, her Mother named Heaven Gale, and her brother named Leaf Keeper. Her family shares a single cottage much like the average house in Ponyville (if not smaller) at the base of Foal Mountain.<br /><br />At the age of 11 while going into town for a short while on a shopping trip with her mother, Starlight trailed off and lost track of her. When she was searching for her mother she came across a small group of boys who recognized her as Leaf Keeper's sister. They began taunting her for her brothers name and the fact she lives in a forest, knowing full well she wouldn't handle it well. However when they expected rage, they only got tears. Starlight being as sensitive as she was could not stand up for herself.<br /><br />However as the boys continued making fun of her and her family, a young stallion approached the group. Appearing around just 19, he addressed the fillies. "Good morning! Are you all having fun this nice day?" He spoke with a smile. The bullying group was confused by the sudden appearance and paused a moment. The colt turned to Starlight and spoke again. "I'd say by the look on her face she certainly isn't." From there the young stallion told them how mistreatment is frowned upon, and that he'd be telling their teacher they were skipping class. At this the boys turned tail and fled, leaving Starlight trying not to giggle slightly.<br /><br />The colt introduced himself to Starlight as Marcato, and told her how he had also had a hard time with other kids his age when he was young. Moments later Starlight's mother arrived in a panic. Breathing a sigh of relief upon finding her daughter, she thanked Marcato for what he had done. <br /><br />Starlight grew attatched to the young stallion and Marcato also grew closer to the filly. They quickly became good friends, and Starlight looked up to Marcato.<br /><br />At her current age, Starlight makes visits with her family into Ponyville frequently, and feels more comfortable around others.
