Appearance: He stands a bit taller then other stallion's, however, he is quite a bit more slender then other stallions as well. Despite his slender form he is well muscled, not overly bulky, but compact muscles. He has a very fit body. His hide is a dark grey steel color while his mane and tail are black. His eyes are an icey blue color. He generally wears dark grey and white armor as well as a dark grey and white armoured cloak. He also has a helmet to match the armor, but he only really wears the helmet when either on duty or in combat. He also has white tattooes decorating his neck, forelegs, and hindlegs.

Personality: Steelhide could be considered to be a stereotypical knight. He has a very chivalrous and noble nature about him, treating others with respect and grace. He follows a code of honor which he will never break, even if it means death. He is very loyal as well. Steelhide also prefers the use of actions instead of words. He is a pony of action and this leads him to act very rashly at times. His honorable nature also compels him to act out against injustice, chaos, and evil. This can lead to complications when dealing with someone like Discord. He is very brave no matter the situation and will rise to the challenge.<br /><br /> He has a firm belief in law and order as well. This goes again with his chivalrous nature. He is very friendly though and will always lend a hoof to those in need and those that ask for aid. Backstory: To start the story of Steelhide, his parent's stories must be told. Steelhide's mother was a traveling knight pony and his father was a guard pony. They both had been set off on the same quest by two different ponies to retrieve a stolen family heirloom. They both had been wearing full armor and fought over the heirloom after having fought off the thief. During the fight their helmets flew off and they stopped in midfight. It was love at first fight, pun intended. Steelhide's father won the fight, but he gave the heirloom to Steelhide's mother. It had turned out that the two ponies that had sent Steelhide's parents on the mission were actually both trying to get the heirloom back for the other.<br /><br /> From then on steelhide's parents began to spend more time together and steelhide's mother managed to get a place in the guard on the word of Steelhide's father. Eventually the two had a son whose hide was the color of steel. The two raised him together with a chivalrous belief. Steelhide's mother would often tell him stories of her adventures as a traveling Knight and his father would tell him stories about his guard adventures.<br /><br /> Steelhide was more drawn to the free life of a traveling knight though. He didn't think less of guards though. He saw them as knights that were stationed in one place to maintain the laws and order. The traveling knights would go around and help maintain law and order.<br /><br /> Steelhide learned many things under his parents tutealage. They were some of the best guardsponies in the kingdom. They were both sent out on a quest to try and investigate a strange occurence in a nearby forest, they never returned. It was never proven if they had been killed or not for they had never recovered any bodies or armor.<br /><br /> Since steelhide was already of minimum age, he was adopted into the guard, a choice he made of his own will. A few years later he requested leave of the guard and was granted the title of knight for excellent service. He then began travelling all throughout equestria performing many knightly duties. He did many quests and became a renowned wandering knight. He was young when he had left, but had gained a lot of world experience, travelling the world.<br /><br /> Steelhide now comes to Equestria, after having heard of so many events happening in the kingdom. With a determined trot, he marches toward the kingdom seeking to lend a hoof if a hoof is needed to be lent.
