Appearance: Sunmane is decidely average in height, but a bit more slender due to his nature life. He has an earth-brown coat and a bright blonde mane which is part of his namesake. He wears a green vest and leg bands with pockets that contain many herbs, poultices, and some other herbal remedies. He also has flowers peppered throughout his mane and tail that give off a flowery scent and also change depending on the season. His eyes are dark green.<br />

Cutie Mark: A green tree leaf with a small paw print over it.<br /><br />It symbolizes his ties with nature. His talents lie more with the plants, but he is druidic in nature so he takes care of both plants and animals and he has such a gift with both.<br />

He is funloving, natureloving, compassionate, loyal, and brave. He hates enclosed spaces unless it is a natural enclosed place like inside a tree. He is a healer at heart and uses natural healing herbs and potions to treat anypony. He has a certain wanderlust to him and loves exploring. Slow to anger, but when he is riled up its actually quite funny. Unlike his brother's anger, when Sunmane gets angry he becomes really clumsy and very comical. <br />

Backstory: Family: Lilyleaf (Mother), Brightmane (Father), Sunmane (Brother)<br /><br />History: First, we should go over Sunmane's parentage. His mother, Lilyleaf, and his father, Brightmane,were two pegasi who lived in Cloudsdale. They were both free spirits who loved true nature. They didn't like all the control the other ponies had over the environment, they didn't hate it, but it wasn't 'natural' to them. Thats why they loved the everfree forest, it was the true freedom they wanted. So one day, they eloped together into the everfree.<br /><br />Together they had made a nice tree home and they grew berries and all other sorts of wild fruit. They then had their first son, Sunmane. It wasn't long before Lily was carrying another child, however, something different happened with this one.<br /><br />A group of monsters, imbued with dark and shadowy magic had attacked the small family. Lilyleaf and Brightmane had to defend themselves as well as little Sunmane. Lily was still carrying Shadowknight though. In the fight, Lily was bitten by one of the dark creatures and dark magic infused poison had seeped into her veins. The creatures were driven away, but Lily feel sick. After a few days she felt better, but she still felt the touch of the dark magic in her. When Shadowknight came into the world, she knew why.<br /><br />The dark magic had infused with Shadow while lily was carrying him. In a way, he had unknowingly saved his mother's life, for the poison would have normally killed her.<br /><br />Sunmane was barely a year old when this had happened and didn't really understand what had happened. He loved his brother though despite his odd and frightening appearance. The loving and caring side of his parents had been born in him. <br /><br />Sunmane and Shadowknight formed a close bond over the years. Sunmane seemed to be more connected with his brother then their parents even though they loved Shadowknight.<br /><br />Sunmane learned his craft from his parents during the day, learning the ways of nature. Due to his natural setting he picked up and learned natural skills more quickly then his parents and eventually wound up teaching his parents. His parents were proud of their sons and their teamwork. They were especially proud of Sunmane.<br /><br />During the years, more dark creatures started attacking and Shadowknight became a very good fighter. Sunmane became somewhat of a healing herbalist, tending to his brother's wounds and just about anything in and around their home. He made friends with many of the animals who began to warn Sunmane of eminent attacks from Dark creatures.<br /><br />Finally, when the two had grown up, Brightmane and lilyleaf regained some of their free spirit attitude after having most of the weight of responsibility of taking care of the two little ones for so long. They had announced they were going to travel the world and be back in a few years. They left everything to the two brothers to do with whatever they'd like.<br /><br />Unfortunately, it was only a few weeks later that a large group of dark creatures attacked. They had recessed in the past year and this was the reason why. The brothers were driven from their home with mild injuries. They couldn't go back so they decided to go to a place called Ponyville.<br /><br />It was a place that their mother had told them about when they were little, referring to it as a nice place where many ponies lived in many buildings and houses. <br /><br />After an incident of scaring a group of ponies traveling through the everfree forest, Sunmane fashioned a cloak for Shadowknight to hide and diguise home. Together, they finally made it out of the everfree forest and there.... was ponyville.
