Cutie Mark: Sunny's cutie mark -- a tree surrounded by two small birds -- represents her love of the outdoors and her respect for living creatures.
Personality: Sunny Mint can be described in many ways, but 'quiet' is not one of them. Bold and outgoing, she speaks her mind at all times -- a habit that can get her into trouble. Sunny loves to be outside, running and jumping, and playing rough with the colts and her animal friends. She never minds getting her coat dirty, yet she lacks the sense of grace and eloquence necessary to navigate her everyday life. She does, however, possess an innate kindness towards others, and underneath her rough exterior hides a tenderness only displayed when she is looking after the wild animals that surround her. While she may deliver a well-placed kick on the barrel to a pony that irritates her, she would never even dream of stepping on an ant or killing a spider.
Backstory: Sunny was born to a prim and proper family in Manehattan. Her mother, Rose Flower, tried her hardest to transform her daughter into a dainty, feminine filly, yet Sunny simply wouldn't conform. Instead of attending the fancy tea parties which were a particular favorite of her mother's, she would kick herself free of her frilly saddle, shake out her meticulously styled mane, and canter off to some wild adventure in the park, returning home each night muddied and exhausted, but thoroughly content. Her mother, of course, reprimanded her for her 'uncivilized' ways. One day, fed up with her mother's reproachful attitude towards her behavior, she simply packed what little belongings she had, and got on a train, unsure of where it might take her, but certain she would find a place where she truly belonged.
