• Tsor'ekoh

That One Techpriest You Used To Know
    • Age: Deceased

      Gender: Male

      Species: Unicorn

Appearance: A large, overbearing figure, the lich Tsor'ekoh, is a large figure dressed in black clothing. His entire body is blue and frozen; his face, a skeletal mask. He is bulky, but years of being a lich have made his body frail- still able to take a hit or two without much harm, but a greataxe to the face still isn't going to feel good.

Cutie Mark: His cutie mark is a swirl of frost, which represents his skill in frost magic. However, when he became a lich, a pony skull was placed in front of it.

Personality: A grim, dark, foreboding figure, Tsor'ekoh is a brooding, demented figure who is obsessed with experimentation on other undead. Having secured a constant shipment of dead ponies and pony remains to his lair in a mountain cave, he spends most of his time putting together, reanimating, and admiring his undead, until he finds a flaw and tears the being down in rage. When he finds a 'perfect' specimen that he has created, he freezes it for future reference and study.

Backstory: The story of the poor colt named Choke Frost begins with his abusive childhood on the streets of Manehattan. He was pushed around and abused by his father- his mother having run away from him out of fear for her safety shortly after having her. He would be bullied constantly, the teachers at his school overlooked him, and he was a shy, unstable colt who was never looked twice at. The happiest memory that he said came from his childhood would be when he got his cutie mark. While practicing his magic, his Earth Pony father came in and scolded him for using 'witchcraft' followed by what would have been another round of beatings. However, the sudden shock and fear of the intrusion lead to the young mare releasing a powerful bolt of frost and, in a heartbeat, his father smashed through the window, froze on his way down, and shattered when he hit the concrete below, much to the dismay of the ponies below. He got his cutie mark in frost magic just as he was being put into police custody.

After being sentenced to and, subsequently released from, juvenile detention, he decided to try and turn his life around. So he moved to Canterlot and took up a position as a shopkeeper's assistant, practicing his magic all the while and keeping himself occupied with earning money while taking night classes. It was a busy existence, but he was satisfied. But it all changed when a particular invitation made his way from the Academy of Magic to his door. He immediately accepted this invite and went away from his only friends in a gambit to expand on his magical skills.

What followed was, as he would put it, the best and worst times of his life. The students were harsh, the teachers were merciless, and the work was burying, but he loved all of it the same. He was in his element here, and he loved every second of it. He was in the top of his class, and was the pride of his section of his school. That is, until he tried to channel his first Blizzard. As he was casting the spell in a large field, a chucklehead named Flash Freeze decided it would be funny to cast a bolt of ice into his back while he was channelling such powerful magic for the first time in his class. What followed was a break in concentration, which resulted in him completely losing control of his magic... which then resulted in half of the class and the teacher meeting a terrible end, frozen into ice blocks by a storm of sub-zero magic that no one has ever seen before or since at the academy. The legends go that the snowflake pattern in the courtyard of the school was due to this blast.

As everyone scattered and ran for the headmaster, the young, panicked, and half-mad with shock and grief Choke Frost knew that only one fate awaited him if he stayed- so he ran. He ran as far as he could, as long as he could, and only stopped once the sirens that were raised shortly after his departure were no longer able to be heard.

After this, he gave up on any life as a pony or a citizen and began to study necromancy and demonology. While he was never able to do more than summoning the simplest demon, he was an expert at raising the dead as zombies and skeletons. His efforts culminated in a mad rush to finish his ritual for lichhood before he was found and killed. The ritual completed just as the guards burst through his door, blasting him dead as soon as they laid eyes on him.

But they were never able to find his phylactery...
