Personality: Symphony is a forward and outspoken Crystal Pegasus with an uncanny ability to 'find' things that don't belong to her. She has precious few friends simply because she does not WANT friends - Friendship and Loyalty mean a lot to her, and the more friends she has - the more she is required to put aside her own needs for them.<br /><br />Years of living as a thief in the Crystal Kingdom have left her with excellent hearing and agility. She doesn't hold anything against others, but usually fails to see them as other ponies with emotions.<br /><br />She is beautiful and she knows it. She is willing to use it to her advantage in a number of ways: her coat seems to bend light much more effectively than that of other crystal ponies, which allows her to draw attention to, or away from, herself with ease. In addition, she also uses it for other forms of distraction.

Backstory: When she was a filly she was a quiet type: she did as she was asked and would avoid trouble. However, her younger sister became sick one day with an chronic illness.<br /><br />After her sister passed, her parents tried to stifle their emotions for her sake: It didn't work. Mistaking their silence and lack of tears for indifference she ran away, determined to keep the memory of her sister and best friend alive. On arriving in the city however she was faced with trouble - she simply wasn't tough enough to live on the streets.<br /><br />She quickly adapted, however, and discovered that not only was she remarkably agile (if not particularly fast) but that she could slip right by a pony and remain unseen. She began using her sisters name to keep her identity hidden and eventually came to adopt the name and personality of her deceased sibling as how own.<br /><br />Several years later, the beautiful thief was thrown into an adventure alongside the unicorn Scribe Shield and the earth mare Cinderblock when she was caught trying to steal supplies from them while both happened to be lost in the mountains near the Crystal Kingdom. After being shown kindness and forgiveness by the mare, Symphony left - only to return when they needed her most. She saved the two ponies, but suffered permanent damage to her wind in the process, leaving her almost completely unable to fly. Several feathers remain charred black and glassy from this event.<br /><br />After realizing that she didn't want to be alone in the world any longer she joined the two ponies and faced her inner demons: accepting who she was and that her sister was gone. While this softened her razor temper and tongue a little, she still retains a bitter view of the world and tries to distance herself from others.
