Appearance: Medium brown/bronze coat, light brown mane with blonde streaks. Slim, athletic build.

Cutie Mark: Soccer Cleat. Windy is an avid soccer player and religiously follows the Cloudsdale Cavaliers Football Club, whom he dreams of playing for. He found his passion for soccer when he was about 5, the first time he kicked a soccer ball at a Young Athlete's Competition.

Personality: Sincere with a sarcastic side. Even tempered but slightly impatient. Fun-loving, enjoys spending time with other sporty stallions. Has a deep rooted pride that will change him from a caring, sincere guy into an aggressive belligerent jerk jock if he feels he is being insulted or snubbed. This is exponentially worse if/when he is drunk. He will act much rasher, more illogically, and quite ruder when he isn't sober. Despite having a competitive streak, he is quite laid back and easy going off the pitch, to the point where he has been called lazy and a freeloader. He often is called 'slow' and stupid, but usually this is because he is extremely indecisive, waffling on nearly every issue presented to him, often holding mental debates between the more passionate, impulsive side and his more logical, reasonable side of his brain. The impulsive side usually wins. The only arena of life besides soccer where Windy is known to put any real effort in is with mares. Despite fashioning himself to be a smooth operator Windy fairly often says tactless and sometimes downright sexist/raunchy comments, which has earned him the chagrin of many of his female friends. Most ponies don't take offense to them though, and just attribute it to his general tactlessness.<br />In a nutshell, Windy is a cocky, vain, prideful alpha male jock tempered by a well-concealed low-self esteem and a sensitive side. The pride he exhibits is often to offset feelings of insufficiency and weakness he has.

Backstory: Windy Runner was raised in a caring, if somewhat dull and boring home by his parents. From an early age his passion has always been soccer, and he discovered his cutie mark quite early on, the first time he kicked a soccer ball at an athletic competition. When he was first able to at the age of 18, Windy tried out for the Cloudsdale Cavaliers, his dream. However, despite playing quite well, Windy was injured in a collision with another player, and suffered a major concussion. After this disqualified him from tryouts, Windy Runner moved from Manehatten to Ponyville to work as a shopkeeper, despite his true calling still being to join the Cloudsdale Cavaliers Football Club. However, he has been declared medically ineligible due to his head injury and must wait at least two years before he is able to try out again. The head injury <br />Best friends with Fondue Reef, a surf bum working as the Ponyville soda jerk. The two lazy stallions have a rep as the town's 'platonic bromance'.
