"Downgrading" a Ticket?

I've heard that you can always upgrade your ticket as long as the upgrade is available, but if I buy (say, for example) a High Society pass and find out that I can't make it for all three days, can I downgrade my badge to a three-day pass?

 

Also, why do they (or do they) need our street address if I'm only getting the High Society pass or "lower"?

I'm sure if something comes up and you are unable to make the full 3 days you could work something out with the staff, or maybe even trade with a friend who has a "lower class" ticket.
