The Enduring Man-Child 22 March 25, 2012 Share March 25, 2012 Okay! Now that I'm signed up, I can finally do what I came here to do! As I said in my introduction post, I am uniquely untalented. I can't draw. I can't create or upload videos. I can't sing, play an instrument, write or read music...shoot, I can't even whistle! BUT... I flatter myself that occasionally I can write (I've got 25 fics up at fanfiction.net; unfortunately only two are FIM). Anyway, the other day I started thinking of ponified verses to some songs I like and started tinkering. I came up with four sets of lyrics to three songs. Three of these are...eh. But I think that one of them may actually be good. Now I could be wrong, of course. But if there are any brony musicians out there who can make and upload brony music, I would be happy to have him/her look these lyrics over and see if lightning really did strike of if this is just another Dorothy Parker moment. The lyrics are set to Danny O'Keefe's Seventies hit Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues (which may be heard on YouTube here:). In my version Pinkamina is ruminating about her situation in "Party of One" where she thinks all her friends have abandoned her. Again, this is not an original song--it's a ponified version of an actual pop song, so it is very limited. It has to be true both to the episode and the original song on which it is based. Don't expect any fireworks (writing original songs is something else I can't do). Is anybrony interested? Arg! What happened to my URL? The preview even had the video embedded, but now it's gone! Oh well. Just go to YouTube and look up Danny O'Keefe Good Time Charlie's Got the Blues (original version). I continue to derp, it seems! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YP3pIPp8P8 Oh! There it is!
