My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Applejack

How did you find MLP Forums?: I was searching around for a forum to join and talk about ponies.

How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Well I first got interested in the show after one of my friends got into it. I never really gave it a second thought but then I started getting curious as I stumbled across images videos and clips by happenstance as to why people liked this show so much. My little brother loved the show as well so I binged with him on it. The show started to grow on me and by the end of the second season I was hooked.

I'm still really new to being a brony, and though I love the show, I wanted to really explore why everyone else likes the show. Reading around on the forums I thought would really help with that.

 

I myself enjoy the show for it's theme really. Probably really vague but the show is more like an escape than anything. I can just step back for a short time and enjoy the colors, the fun characters, and it lets me breathe before I get back to my life. I used to be able to do that with a lot of shows and books and movies, but I just don't have time to invest into games and books of any significant length anymore. So in a way, I sort of reconnect with myself from when I was younger and had more of a broad perspective.

 

But enough about that. I may not be able to invest time into them like I used to but Fantasy is what I really love. Whether it's Anime, Movies or D&D I always find myself enjoying it so much I have to hold myself back a little. Even at the mention of magic I'm always curious. But I feel like I'm sending a little bit of a mixed message here being that my Favorite mane 6 is Applejack.

 

So why not Twilight Sparkle if I love magic so much? Well, I really enjoy Applejack's character. Working a crappy job to the bone has made me appreciate Applejack who also has a strenuous job . She works with her family of course, but she never really complains about it. I suppose I complain about my job, but I'm joking most of the time, I genuinely like most of the people I work with and that more than makes up for it. Whereas I like Twilight for her mystical magical powers, I like Applejack a lot more for a more down to earth reason, simply because she's a hard worker.

 

And I mentioned D&D too huh? Role playing is something I love to do, I've done it in Guild Wars 2, World of Warcraft and among friends around a table. But I haven't Really been able to do it for a while now. My friends just got D&D next (5th edition) and I'm trying to make the sessions but I haven't actually roleplayed in a couple of years now.

 

Being a part of a D&D group as well as multiple other roleplay groups, I've gained a love of writing stories. Not that any of them are any good, but I am still always thinking about new stories, how character fit into them, what kind of meaning I can spell out in it's plot, and how I can relate to those experiences personally. So I'm a crappy writer, bet you really found that interesting.

If you love roleplaying you should certainly check out the rp section here, it doesn't have a dice roller, or a rp system but it is a great springboard for meeting fellow pony roleplayers and they have improvements comming along soon!

 

And apple jack has her own fan club here as well, so you should certainly check that out if you want to meet other AJ fans!

Thanks for your welcomes! I'll be sure to pop over there. You two responded so quickly but to be honest I stayed up all night doing something I ended up scrapping so I went to bed after posting my introduction. Sorry for the delay!
