How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Out of curiosity and boredom, I watched my first episode while doing online schooling. I was instantly hooked!

 

Been here for a month and I still haven't introduced myself? Oh well.

 

I'm an aspiring animator, game designer, and writer. I'm still in school so I don't have anything out yet. I'm working on two books right now, the first inspired by FiM and the sequel inspired by Fallout: Equestria.

 

I'd be considered a hardcore gamer if I had any money. I play all genres, but my favorites are mmorpgs. I also love music. My favorite artists are Aviators, Imagine Dragons, and Two Steps From Hell.

 

I'll be lurking around the forums. I don't post very often. Anyway, hello everypony!

So - If you make Game Design, what kinds of games do you like to create the most?
I'm a fan of Pen&Paper RPGs and mostly strategy games for PC.

Also - Do you have Skype? I really like to meet some game designers around the world.

Well, here's Trove. It just entered open beta.

 

Creating an mmorpg is my ultimate goal. However, I'm gonna start out with simpler genres such as puzzle games, tower defense, and runners.

 

And no, I don't have Skype.

My goal is it to create complex and deep games, kinda like Dwarf Fortress, but with very accessible. I also like non-linear games, with a lot of dynamics.

But currently I am working to figure out how to improve the game comfort for Pen&Paper RPGs. Many RPGs focus on rules and lore. But when I look at some character sheets, I get the idea, they don't think about the time, when people actually play the game. In my opinion, many games doesn't tell the players what they can do and almost no game tells why some weird rules exists.

- Anyway, I think this gets a bit to detailed in a welcoming thread. Maybe we find a way to talk somewhere else about games.
