Shadowking58 1,137 December 30, 2014 Share December 30, 2014 (edited) Just yesterday, I had scheduled some college entrance exams for Math (Algebra specifically), no biggie. Here's the problem, I suck at Algebra, and I am a special Ed. Student because of minor Aspergers, but still. The specific problem I have with Algebra, is not that I can't answer the questions, it's just that, whenever I seem to study, everything I've been studying doesn't seem to stick. Yeah, sure, it'll stay around embedded in my mind for about a few days, but after that, I'll completely forget almost everything I studied, and that's for most things, there's stuff I've studied so many years ago that still remain in my head that I still know how to do to this day. (Like the Multiplication Grid Method, as I like to call it. Which you can see below) So, I was starting to think about this, specifically, how come I can't get any studying done (besides the fact that it's so boring...) But then... then... I thought back to one specific episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, while staring at my Algebra book, my mind went to the Season 4 Episode 'Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3' and I'm thinking about this episode, and I remember. I remember that... Rainbow Dash also was studying for something with Twilight Sparkle, and it was very boring for her, so boring that she got distracted (Like I often do when studying) After that, I remembered the moral at the end of that specific episode. "One way of learning isn't better then another. After all, everypony is unique... and individual." And then it hit me, hit me like a ton of bricks. What if I have yet to find my ideal way of learning or studying? What if I still need to find out what that method is? What if there IS still hope for me?! I haven't felt that connected to a character like that in years, and thus, I felt like sharing this, for advice, and for you guys to talk about. And I have yet another reason to love this show.
