Regarding your question. Yeah, it's bound to happen. Inevitable I'd say.

 

I don't mean to come off as dismissive, but there is absolutely no chance of this happening.

 

The focus is on twilight, not the others, and the bond that the others have with twilight isn't really a magical one like the EOH but more of a political "mundane" one in that they're told by the map "Go fix a problem mundanely" instead of the EOH's link of being needed for cosmic magical power.

Additionally, if they give large amounts of character exploration or growth, its for twilight (or sunset), not the others: In order for them to alicornify the others, they'd need to make a two parter where everyone BUT twilight was focused on and upgraded: That is pretty much NEVER going to happen from a merchandising standpoint: twilight's their bread and butter character, hasbro will always demand that if anything is done for a special toyline, it needs to focus on her.

 

Further, the whole "alicorn the mane six!" thing is a very "season 1" kind of idea, for old school bronies, back when things were a bit more equal in focus. At this point, twilight's been an alicorn for half the series: being an alicorn is twilight's "Identity" thing now. Back when there were no alicorns, the idea of all of the six being groomed seemed kind of workable. but at this point, you have twilight ascend, you focus on twilight's growth after ascendance, and that's kind of it: Its her thing in the same way fashion is Rarity's thing is fashion.

Back in S2 Celestia did note that all of the six had grown in ROH, and touched on them as a group, but at this point, there just really isn't anything hinting at the others being set up for that: Plus, they'd have to introduce alicornism as a theme in Season 6 for it to work, since this season's theme has nothing to do with alicorns.
