Zyrael 1,473 April 30, 2016 Share April 30, 2016 So, reflecting on past star wars films, I recalled this special moment in star wars 3. After a long and evenly-matched battle, obi-wan takes the high ground (about 5 ft) above anakin. Obi-wan, a very sensible jedi, states, "it's over anakin, I have the high ground" thus, obi-wan must have had absolute confidence in the power of the high ground. Even more than his faith in the force, because, he couldn't seem to outmatch anakin with the force alone. He needed the high ground. This leads me to believe the high ground may well be more powerful than the force itself. Obi-wan knew he won the moment he had the high ground, and anakin could do nothing to stop him. The power of the high ground is reinforced in episode 6, when, the moment luke takes the high ground in his fight with his father, vader throws his lightsaber to remove luke from the high ground (he had learned his lesson). What do you think? will they call upon the high ground for a deus ex machina in future installments of star wars? 1 veritati adhaerere
