What would you think about an equestria ruled by other ones ?

Every era have an end. And So does the era of celestia, luna and cadence too. What would happen to equestria if our beloved princesses are no more ? What would happen if everything changes in thousond years ? Who could replace celestias duty as godness of the light and sun and lunas duty as godness of the darkness, night and moon? Who would rule equestria from then on and who COULD take this huge responsebillity to watch and protect a whole world ? Maybe our mane 6 ???
