While both of your choices are as cute as a button, this thread is of an anecdotal nature and would be better suited as a status update or blog post. While Forum Lounge is a casual subsection, threads should still have the potential to generate ongoing participation. Once your avatar is chosen, the thread would no longer have a purpose.
