I made a thread announcing my screensavers I'll be making. One for each of the Mane 6, and Derpy, were all I had planned.

 

I took the suggestions and tried to implement all I could into this version.

The most notable differences is Derpy's walkspeed, and the backgrounds.

But I also changed the installer a bit, and edited the readme. Plus, the frame-rate was altered, but I doubt it's too noticeable.

 

Don't worry about having two Derpy screensavers if you had the old one, the installer should automatically overwrite the previous version.

What this screensaver is, is Derpy following a muffin (you're mouse.)

Move your mouse, and Derpy will walk after it. After a while, an Advertisement for MLPForums comes up (because I'm a kiss-up.)

Obviously, a mouse controlled screensaver would have issues (due to the fact any mouse movement kills a screensaver,) so I disabled mouse triggered exits; meaning you can only leave if you press the keyboard. Derpy's muffin will say "Press any key to exit" every 10 or so seconds in case you forget.

 

The files are inside the attached .zip file. Inside I have an exe file (installer,) an scr file (the actual screensaver,) and a copy of the README (basically everything I covered here, plus uninstallation information.)

I'd reccommend using JUST the installer, because the scr file is a pain in the flank if you aren't 9001% sure what you're doing with it. The installer installs the screensaver, AND should set it as the one currently running (if it doesn't, you'll need to set it yourself; but it should be one of the screensaver options.)

If you just want to see how it looks, I suppose you could always just open the scr file(it just opens the screensaver in "preview mode"--but doesn't give you the option to set it as a screensaver.) But I need critiquing on the installer itself, so if you intend to use the screensaver as an actual screensaver (wait a few minutes and play with Derpy ) use the installer--plus you'll get to troll me for how annoying the installer was, and what needs to be changed.

 

 

This time, I have new things for you to test out:

Most importantly, I need comparisons between this version and the previous.

"Which was better or worse" would be good. In the previous, Derpy was pretty much on the muffin the whole time. Now, Derpy actually walks after the muffin. The muffins were made larger to reduce lag (trust me, if you saw the base files, you'd know why I did this.) I also raised the frame-rate a bit, but I don't think it's too noticeable.

 

As before, I still need proofreads on the Readme. I edited it again, added stuff, removed stuff, blah blah blah; check for typos grammar and such (I know how good you guys are at that )

 

Oh, and make sure I attached the new file...That would be very important.

 

NEW SETTINGS!

As the bold text indicates, I have more settings available for you to mess with. Such as multi-monitor support, resolution, and scale. I don't have multiple monitors, so above anything; please test that if you have multiple monitors, I have no clue how that is going to work with this screensaver, and I am super curious.

 

 

So obviously, this is Derpy in the screensaver. She just seems like a good Beta Character for some reason...

Nice! I like the improvements to Derpy's motion, but now she's slightly blurry. Also, could you center her on the mouth so she eats the muffin instead of standing on it?
