Version 1.0001 rev.1 May 19 2024.

I've always thought of the rules of DnD very convoluted and difficult that its not easy for everyone to easily jump in... So why not make a simpler one?

Hence i have made Dice and Destiny system.

Stats are fewer here, hence simple.

BASIC STATS:

Str:( strength) this is where ones characters HP( health points), strength required checks (like lifting pushing pulling smashing depending on the game master or the player if they wanted to use their strength in a situation.) stamina

Dex: ( Dexterity) this is where ones characters evasion and hit comes into play, SAVES and dexterity required checks( like dancing, playing an instrument catching something, balancing,  depending on the game master or the player if they wanted to use their dexterity in a situation.)

Int: (Intelligence) this is where ones characters MP(magic points)smarts wisdom magic comes into play. (Deciphering scrolls, disarming traps, knowing stuff, getting discounts, depending on the game master or the player if they wanted to use their dexterity in a situation.)

OTHER STATS:

These stats are stats that are commonly moving! Changing from 3 2 1 0 BOOM your character is dead! Theres only 2 for simplicity!

HP (health points)

*a staple of every rpg and any kind of game. I dont even know why im explaining this to you.... If it hits zero your character dies. Usually effects that reduces hp causes lose of hp.

So instead of putting  1 damage and what not, to make it easy and simple -1HP would be proper.

And instead of 1 heal +1HP.

Simple no? Yes? Maybe?

*So how much HP  do you have? Simple! HP= strength!

if you have 5 strength then you have 5 hp

If you have zero strength you have zero HP... That means you're dead!

MP (mystic, magic ,mana points[ whatever fancies your glitter])

*a staple of every rpg and any kind of game. I dont even know why im explaining this to you.... If it hits zero your character dies. Usually effects that reduces hp causes lose of hp.

....sorry i made a mistake on copy pasting this.... Let me fix that.

*a staple of every rpg and any kind of game. I dont even know why im explaining this to you.... Usually used for magic stuff and any convoluted thing requiring ones head, intelligence and mumbo jumbo stuff! If you have MP then you can do your mumbo jumbo! If you have zero or not have the requirement. Then you can't do your nonsense!

Easy! Peesy! Lemoncider squizzy!!

INTERACTIONS:

1. COMBAT!:

i will be explaining on how them stats work!

Strength!!!! SMASH!!! BASH! CRASH!!!!!

Lets make an example of a rock! Why? Because they dont move hence they dont have dexterity! HENCE i wont be explaining how dex work here!

So example!

Dm: Flumox was quite irritable on that day and a peace of pebble was blocking its way. Intelligence check if Flumox has the capacity to calm down or not: Flumox has Zero intelligence so we wont be doing that! He will destroy the pebble!!!

Now its the DMs job to put stats on the pebble... So it would be fair to say that a man no matter how strong he is could not destroy a pebble with his bare fists... But this is fantasy so maybe putting the pebbles stats to hmmm probably.

Str: 5 and the other stats to 0.

Flumox being stupid and not using his weapons enchantment thought he wouldnt need it! He is strong for he has

Str: 10

Int:0

Dex:0

*Now that Flumox initiated the attack he is the Attacker! While the Pebble is the defender!

*Now evasion and hit check!

( But wait i thought we wont be doing that because they have zero dex?)

WRONG!!! I LIED!

both would roll a specific dice depending on the situation! Then they add their dex stats! The attacker will have to use their Dexterity to hit its target! While the defending player use their Dexterity to evade! So who ever has the highest stat wins! If the hitter has the highest points you get to hit! While the evader can evade if he has the highest dex!

Also put into consideration the gap it caused!

Excess hit! Will add additional damage! While excess dodge reduces damage!

(-/+HP)

So lets say you rolled a 5! And the enemy rolled A 5 as well! There are no bonuses!

Now the hitting commence!!!!

You roll a dice for your strength!

And the pebble also rolls for their strength!!!

What it can do that!?

YES MAGGOT!

Flumox rolled a 5

And the rock rolled a 15

We add in their strength and the result is

Flumox str roll: 15

Pebble str roll: 20.

BOOM!

Even though Flumox attacked he took damage! Why? Because the faith wills it!

Now Flumox takes 5 damage! But! If flumox had a higher roll dex, we wouldn't count that roll as a hit now would we? It will become a dodge roll!

And if the pebble had a higher dex then that wouldn't be called a dodge but a hit roll instead and would be a CRITICAL COUNTER!!!! AWESOME!!! WHO KNEW A PEBBLE CAN DO THAT WOOOOOO!!

Anyway.... I will explain that part as well dont worry.

So lets have a proper fight. Lets say

Attacker has

Str: 5

Dex:10

Int: 5

Defender has

Str: 10

Dex: 5

Int: 5

( Some passive skills can affect or use intelligence in battle but lets keep it simple shall we?)

Attacker declare an attack!

Normally we use a 20 sided dice.

Dexterity check!

Attacker rolled a 10+10 from dex

While defender rolled a 8 + 5 from from dex

20-13= 7 and attacker wins this roll this is a HIT! ( PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT MAKING A HIT AND MAKING A DODGE IS IMPORTANT.)

ATTACKER rolled a 20!+ 5 str

While defender rolled a19! +10 str

25-29: -4!!! Defender made a counter!

The tables have turned! And attacker makes a dodge for it!

He used the remaining hit as dodge!

Defender has a counter of 4! While attacker has a dodge of 7!

4-7=-2!

Attacker was able to dodge!!

No damage was dished out! An incredible match!

Take note that

STR involves the word STRIKE! And COUNTER!

And dex has DODGE and HIT.

2. EVENT/INTERACTION:

NOW WE'LL BE TACKLING TALKING!

Intelligence here shines the brightest here!

Now all this depends on the DM and the player interacting on how they trigger the intelligence event! So not only does your character here require high int! The players also need high int!

Examples:

Buyer was on his way to buy the weapon he has always wanted, The Squicker!

As he entered the shop and asked for the item, the Seller told him the cost is 200gold!

The Buyer, was a stingy person. Hence he asked for a discount. He rolled his tongue persuading the seller.

ROLL FOR DISCOUNT!

The DM( Dungeon Master)

Request an int roll! Now the DM can make this NPC an IMPORTANT character and give a stats for both of them to fight or just make a simple roll and  be done with it.

Example example:

Buyer roll for discount!

Rolled a 10+5 from int!

15 points! (Depending on the DM, if the points has reached something as passable DM would give a discount.)

The seller liked the persuasion and sweet tongue that she gave him a 10% percent discount but the seller made an alluring deal for him!

She'll give another discount if the buyer is willing to go with her on another room!

NANI!!! WHO WOULDN'T SAY NO!?

but this time the buyer rolled a 5+5 from int.

It was a mehh roll.

So the DM has to make it spicy here.

20% discount! The seller grabbed him and showing the ugly face of the seller. Her face rivals an ogre's foot. Her grip was strong and hard to pull

Buyer would strength roll check but he loses the roll. He tried his dexterity roll check but and failed her slimey body has made it difficult to slip out. His last roll for intelligence roll was his last chance of getting  out but still failed! The seller was set on having him in her room.

Defeated. The buyer was draged into the seller's den. The doors shut and the scream of the buyer can be heard echoing inside the den.

Seller has now the following effect:

BAD DAY: SELLER cannot use the 20 sided dice to roll for rolls. Only 12 sided dice.

WHAT BAD LUCK!

anyway that was soooo so so unlucky in the end.

Now for the difficult version:

Lets say that the seller gas Intelligence as well

Both seller and buyer roll for int!

Seller: 10+5 from int!

Buyer: 1+10 from int!

Difference!: 15-11: 4! This is a win for seller! Now depending on the DM if they think this is high or not and how they deliver the punishment!

The seller got mad and refused to make deal with the buyer, demanding he leave.

Now all this is within the power of the player and the DM on how things are used and played out. Imagination is key! This things i wrote are just guidelines! KEEP THAT IN MIND!!!

SPELLS!

it's up to you how you make your spells. Make it fun and not OP is the key!

Now heres the basic spell

We'll call it SPARKLE!

shoots out a long range magical attack

( First we put Data on the spell! What is it?  What does it do? We see that it is long ranged, and is magical. Very basic.)

Deals -2HP costs: 2MP

( And here it does Damage! And costs MP to do! Some spells use HP so watch out!)

How does spells play out? SIMPLE! Just the same as how a normal fight would!

Except its INT now not STR! NO CHANGES WITH dodge and hit mechanics. But a player may use STR to counter  YOUR Magic! BUT IF the magic is long ranged, depending on the DM or how the player plays it out the player cant counter properly with his sword or whatever... Depending on how the players declare the rolls!

Passive skills!

Examples!

Dodge Strike!:

Your excess DODGE deals -HP (damage) instead.

I suppose you get what this does? No? TOO BAD!

ANYWAY...

Its simple.

Again when making stuff up, MAKING THINGS OP makes it boring... Unless thats tye theme on what you guys are playing then why not? But putting gimmicks and tricks to things helps make things interesting.

Items!

Exampulo:

Dagger: gives 1 additional damage when dealing strikes and counter

( Notice that it only deals damage on strikes and counter.

NOT On magic or passive damage such as Dodge strike, even though it has STRIKE written on it's name.

Shield: when on the defending side + 1 to str.

( This means you dont get that str when you attack!)

Nice huh! But the world is still up to the DM.

Thank you for reading this crappy guide to my Dice and Destiny.

Please! If you have anyquestions or you think i missed something  message me or write it here so i can update it and or change or clear or add it!
