Nightmare Moon Favorite Collection

So I saw this mentioned a few times but not in the context of someone actually owning it. I recently purchased this as my first pony purchase (broke out the big bucks here) and decided I would post up a few pics of the ponies I actually took out.

 

I mainly got this because of Nightmare Moon, but Vinyl and Trixie were good reasons too. All the rest I have left in the packaging, but if pictures of them are wanted I can take them out no problem. I didn't post pics of the packaging either since you can find it around the web, but can grab some shots as well if people want.

 

Overall they are just your normal brushables, but with glitter over their cutie marks. The glitter definitely does come off because I have been finding it everywhere and had it all over after screwing with their staticy hair. The fact that they left the eye indent on Vinyl is depressing and they could have handled it better by angling her glasses over top of the eyes fully rather than partially. Trixie looks naked without her hat and cape. Nightmare Moon is pretty sweet, but is definitely meant as a collectible because her mold is all done in the bright blue with the dark blue painted on (I show a scuff in the dark blue mine has in one of the pics) and she would end up scratching easily if played with. The purple of the cutie mark is on both sides, but the moon is only one the one. I'll probably be getting a few custom poored mane and tail kits for Vinyl, Trixie, Dash, and maybe Pinkie down the road. For now though I'll just cut some from their manes like I already did their tails so that they look better. Nightmare is being left alone because she looks neat, her hair has this translucent "sparkle" to it that I find pretty fitting.

This is a very tempting set, but ultimately waiting for molded manes. Love the G1 Hound and G2 Megatron in your collection pic!

Nice. I bought two sets, one to open and one to leave in the box. Neither have been opened yet but I'm taking one of them to a meetup that's more or less a "brushable styling party."
