Best Multitalented Brony Award (contest idea)

Hello everypony!

 

Night Shine here with a really cool idea for a different form of art contest. (Watch out, this is going to be a long post. >.<)

 

So earlier today i was thinking about how much variety there is among all the brony artists. I mean, we have amazing musicians, writers, and even people who design custom plushies, blind bag ponies, t-shirts...you name it, a brony artist has made it!

 

But then I got to thinking...how many of these bronies have tried their hoof at multiple of these things? Are there any really good multi-talented brony artists out there who make a bunch of different kinds of art?

 

This contest idea would spotlight those in the community who can create multiple kinds of art. Although i'm not doing this legit (yet?), I thought I'd post the idea and see if anypony else thought that it would be a good idea for me (or somepony else) to actually do.

 

Here's what I've come up with so far (if I actually do this, I'll post everything here in the topic):

 

 

Rules:

+Each contestant must supply an entry for 4 of the following categories:

-One original MLP-inspired piece of music of any genre, at least a minute long

-One complete 2500+ word original MLP fanfiction

-Five to ten MLP memes or captioned shots from the show created by you

-At least ten panels in MLP comic strip(s)

-An original MLP computer game/flash game

-Two to five pieces of MLP visual art/paintings/etc

-At least 45 seconds of MLP animation, be it in one or multiple videos

-Two PMVs or mashup videos using clips from the show, at least two minutes in total length

-At least a minute in footage of MLP-related voice acting, fanfiction dramatic reading, or song covers

-Photos of at least three custom artisan-craft MLP works (plushies, blind bag ponies, etc)

-Photos of at least three custom MLP articles of clothing (t-shirts, hats, etc)

 

+Voters: Everypony would vote on which contestant's MLP-inspired creations are best. Voters may decide whose material is best for whatever reason they choose, be it humor, quality, feels, etc. Also you may vote for as many or few contestants as you choose, but only once for each contestant--voting will be done via brohoofing the contestant's replies that you like.

 

+Contestants: Enter material you've already created or completely new content, although a mix is just fine too. 'Mild' shipping or romance is okay, but please keep all content safe for work. To enter, please post a response to the topic, and put each entry in a separate spoiler with a title indicating its category. Please keep all four of your entries in one response to the topic. Multiple contest entries by one contestant are not allowed, so use only your best work!

 

+In return for getting the most votes, the top three winners will get......um...a shout out and bragging rights.

 

 

 

What do you all think about this idea? Would you suggest any changes to the initial plan? If I made a separate topic with this, would any of you actually be interested in participating? Please discuss. If a lot of people reply to this saying they'd be interested, I'll post a separate topic which you can reply to with legit entries.

 

The sketchiest part that i realized is the 'prize', considering that I have access to exactly zero dollars to give out as prize money.....hm. Maybe somepony could sponsor it? i don't even know. >.<
