Benna 21 February 20, 2013 Share February 20, 2013 Hello all, So this is my first MLP forum and I'm kind of unsure how to do this soforgive me if I don't follow the conventional way of doing things because of mynewbieness. Ok so I am a 24 year old male living in Riverside California.I love surfing, playing guitar, and all kinds of video games from 3DS to Xbox360 and everything in between. I'm currently attending La Sierra University atthe graduate level majoring in Theological Studies. I plan to become a Navy Chaplinafter my schooling is finished in around two years from now. I found the show through the game Team Fortress 2 by viewing wall spraysthat people would spam. My curiosity was instantly peaked as the art stylecaptured my heart. Considering all I knew about the show was what it lookedlike from a spray in Team Fortress 2 its amazing that I sought out the show(for those of you who don't play the game porn sprays are pretty common and yesthere were some of those for MLP that I was forced to view). The show remindedmy of my childhood favorite the Powerpuff Girls so I typed my little pony into Googleand began reading the wiki page. To my surprise I found that the creator of MLPworked on the Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. So Isaid to myself "Self you should give this show a shot." And so I did.Admittedly I did not love the show out of the gate. I started watching abouttwo weeks out from the premier of season 2 of MLP. The first two episodes werea shock to the system. I was expecting a little girls show but because of thelarge male following of the show as well as Faust being a part of it I expectedsomething more along the lines of the Powerpuff Girls. Truthfully I almoststopped watching ten minutes into the first episode but thankfully I pressedon. By episode six I was in love with the show as the characters began todevelop and I have watched the show ever since loving every minute. What drawsme into the show is the humor that has made me smile as well as outright laugh. But the characters are what makes the show for me. My favorite is Pinkie Piebecause I feel very akin to her random behavior and love of laughter. I believethat everyone should live their lives the way Pinkie lives hers. Even though I have watched the show for a long time I have never reallysigned on to forums or discussed episodes with fans. This is because I washesitant about being a fan and honestly kind of embarrassed about it ingeneral. Unfortunately I don't know anyone in real life who loves the show asmuch as me. They know of it but really don’t watch the episodes or are able to intelligentlytalk about them. So I kind of stayed quite about my love of the show until aboutthree months ago. I finally told my brother about liking the show and that heshould check it out. He outright refused and called me queer (don’t takeoffence we joke like that). So I didn’t push the issue and began talking aboutthe show with my sister who grew up with previous generations. She wasskeptical but opened up after seeing the show and loves the ponies now albeitshe doesn’t really watch the show (bandwagon). So she bought me a shirt that Ilove with ponies on it (pony in my pocket from we love fine if you know it) andI guess I kind of came out to my parents. My dad refuses to talk about it andmy mom says its cool but I doubt she even understands what she is saying. Afterthis I went on to buy a pass to Equestria LA (if anyone is going I would loveto meet up with people so I wont be alone wandering O.O) and make an accounthere on this site. I am tired of being out of the loop of the bronies. I wantto talk about MLP with fans. I want to write a fan fic (good or not). I want tomake music (again good or not). I want to be a part of the conversation ingeneral because I love the show and the people who love it seem pretty awesome. So that went on longer than I expected but I guess it was pretty nice to getthough out of the system. So you guys know my experience now and how I came tothis website. I look forward to talking with all of you and hope that I can addsomething to the conversation that is My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic.

StormzInvader 127 February 20, 2013 Share February 20, 2013 Lengthy introduction! You sure had a lot of stuff to talk about and I appreciate that you were very open. Welcome to the forums! Honestly, I hate going on forums usually. I never make accounts but this one time, I just considered doing that for MLP and I never regret a thing. Stay here for as long as you want. It is an awesome place to hang out and meet up with people online then meet up IRL. It really depends for you. Enjoy your stay and welcome! If you want a chat, just shoot me a message. I will answer any message rolling towards me. :3 Thank you, Gone Airbourne, for the amazing signature!
