Get inspiration from great horror writers, such as Edgar Allan Poe, H.P. Lovecraft and Stephen King. What, do you think, are the things that most people fear today? Play on those fears. Yamato 1,348 May 6, 2013 Share May 6, 2013 Write a story about ponies, gun control, and gays. That's what mainstream America seems to be afraid of at the moment. But in all seriousness, writing a horror story is hard. I've tried it twice, and failed miserably both times (they both ended up being comedies... weird...). I'm sure you'll do better that I did, though. I don't really have the right mindset for horror (hell, I played an entire game of Slender thinking I was running from Ronald McDonald). 2 This is the greatest OC of all time.
