I know I have been beating this dead horse (again, no pun intended) for too long since my previous thread, but I thought I'd bring this up, anyway.  In the video, Doug Walker, the Nostalgia Critic, said that the term "princess" often involves youth and innocence, a message opposite of the more masculine and constructive "strength and responsibility".

Does this technically describe Princess Twilight?  I believe it doesn't, though, because Twilight attained the title of princess by being strong and responsible for her friends.  As princess -- which is technically the same thing as being a queen by Equestria standards -- Twilight now has the responsibility of uniting all of Equestria under her leadership.  The book, Twilight Sparkle and The Crystal Heart Spell, proved that notion, where she learns that her friends had as much of a say in Equestrian politics as she did, and that she should give them and her other subjects that say.

I still don't believe that feminist blog, as well, not just because the writer didn't see Equestria Girls yet, but also that Princess Twilight sent a bad message to little girls.  I mean, I remember a Youtube user named Strebiskunk, who described MLP: FiM show as a deconstruction of all girly tropes, showing that it's okay to use them so long as you can tell a good story as well, as evident in Suited for Success and A Canterlot Wedding.  Note, that he also mentioned that in a video where he described the Equestria Girls trailer after seeing it for himself.  Literally, you can see that here:

I stand by my assertion that the term "princess" means something entirely different from what we perceive in FiM's universe. Instead of just being the classic Disney Princess we all assume they are, Alicorn Princesses are kind of like the guardians of harmony, imbued with the power to strike down evil and protect the realm (like the Royal Sisters did all the time 1000 years ago).
