How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic:

I love writting, expressing myself. i've had a few years of writers block where i couldn't come up wit a good idea to continue writing my trans-scripts for my main anime series. what got me on here is quite a funny story...

 

i was working on a slideshow movie for my landlord, just finishing up putting the music together, when she and her grandson came in. she went on telling how her grandson liked MLP FiM. she thought it was weird. i remember as a kid watching the reruns of the original, but one question went through my mind... What was different about this version of MLP? so for the next few days i watched Friendship is Magic. I was utterly amazed how good it was. the color scheme, the storyline. to me this wasn't a girls only show, not like the old renditions at all.

 

As soon as i got to the second season, right off the bat i recognized Discord's VA as John De Lancie (Q from star trek TNG), it took me a while to realize that Richard Ian Cox was the voice of Snails (i'm a big Inuyasha fan as well). i went researched around to see if i was the only one who thought this way. the name "Brony" kept appearing and well here i am.

 

I can't believe how big this fandom is. i especially liked the Brony's Documentary, so profound.

after watching MLP FiM it's like i've got my creative spark back. not all anime and cartoons have to be all about the graphics, Lauren Faust got the formula for a great series right. i've even taken this series as an example structure for my anime series. like how the main character (Twilight Sparkle) writes a letter on what she has learned, something that i was missing... yeah i had a good storyline in my anime, but it was just for entertainment. no passing on life lessons, or learning of any kind.

 

i know i wrote a book. me in person is kind of a combo between the shyness of Fluttershy and the thirst of knowledge like Twilight.

By all things that are mighty!  Another writer in our midst!  Not just any writer, but one in the development of an anime!  Personally, I think you should keep pushing for it; not only because I myself am an anime fan and am always welcoming for something new, but because it is something to strive for!  If your storyline is great enough, which I'm sure it is, then you'll build a fan base in no time! 

 

I'll do my introduction for the second paragraph, because doing so for the first would be too mainstream! xP  My name is Thorenthal, and I'm a newbie and writer just like you!  My favorite genres to write in the most are fantasy and science fiction(and if possible, I try to mix both!).  Sure, this post may seem miniscule and minute for a writer... But have you ever seen a nine paragraph roleplay starter? :3 

 

But before I start bragging and getting possibly offensive and arrogant, I will wrap up this post by wishing you the best of endeavors and encounters for you in the future!  For this fandom, your skills in writing will be invaluable, and you will most definitely wow any of your target audiences with your clear talent in the field.  Good luck out there, and have fun!
