Mane6 action/adventure/character-action game! (bare with me)

Ok, so before the flames come in, or the links to a dozen fighter or action style games using our fav 6. Really this topic isnt so much about an "idea" for a new game, but more so for the discussion of "would it really work", you know when you get past the Bronys squeeing all over it, could it stand on its own two feet (or hooves!)

 

Character abilitys:

 

So past the G-rated "combat" we have seen the girls take part in, what are they in theory capable of? Now i bring this up first because combat allow for more playability in an action adventure, unless your going for a 2 hour game with Twilight talking too you as you click things in the enviornment (not horrible but thats really a phone game.../shudder). The best examples that come to my jaded mind have to do more with the Ponies Cutiemarks then there "elements". Example, Raritys mark is of a Trio of Diamonds, and as some games have explored her not only being able to "see" them anywhere she could use her Unicorn magic to hurl them in attacks. Pinkies mark is of a series of Balloons, somehow, and along with her 4th wall breaking, i picture her as a "spider man" style combat artist. Floating, or bouncing all over the place and using her bulk grappler style. AJ of course could draw on the now cannon established use of farm tools.

 

But these elements have been used, I have seen Pony Fighters (mortal kombat, SF, etc) style games that address these exact ideas. But past a simple 2d platform, and something a bit more modern (think Tombraider etc) are these elements enough?

 

The Story:

 

Can write itself here, the girls needs very little to get there feathers and horns ready to do an adventure, this isnt a big concern.

 

 

The modeling/art:

 

Now here we got some real worries. Lets assume Hasbro just gets drunk one night as a company and says "sure you can use our art style for your game and we wont sue you!" Great!...but is this enough? Do you start adding in more "edgy" elements to give it the anti-power puff girl game, or keep it light hearted? What sells better?

 

Existing Pony games:

 

Equestria Ledgends is turning out to be something that WILL happen, and while the MMOers here are drewling for it, not everyone has the time, or the interest in something so steady and slow as an mmo progression. The Pony Fighter game I mentioned is already labled as a great game by the Community. Short of a J-RPG style (oh god..Twilight and the girls in a Chrono Trigger like game! Going back in time to get Young Luna on your team, or in the future to get an adult Applebloom...oh sweet Celestia...

 

 

You know what, forget the rest of this! JUST MAKE CHORNO TRIGGER/MY LITTLE PONY!!!
