shroommu 10 May 1, 2014 Share May 1, 2014 Hi folks, my name's Shroom. Nice to meet ya! I'm currently writing an English paper about the brony culture as someone who is not involved in your community. In the interviews I've conducted so far I've heard lots of stuff second-hand about possible brony haters, hearsay, that sort of thing, but I'm wondering if anyone has some firsthand experience with haters that they'd be willing to share with me? This could be an experience here on the forums, on another website, or even in real life. If you don't mind talking about it, you're welcome to either post your story here in this thread or PM it to me. Thanks for your time! -Shroom
Krosp I 114 May 1, 2014 Share May 1, 2014 I suppose this is the part where I stand up from the little support circle, clear my throat awkwardly and say "Hi, my name is Krosp and I'm a Brony Hater." I don't expect very many "Hi Krosp!"s back. I've started disliking Bronies a little after Bronycon 2012. (For the record it was Bronycon—not BroNYcon.) I have wildly different ideas what it is to be a Brony than, well, the rest of the forum. I believe Bronies to be a separate entity of like-minded individuals forming a group that can be joined or left at one's on volition and furthermore, I don't believe that one is automatically a Brony for watching the series. Naturally, this attracts the seething ire of the population of this board. Which also makes me ever so happy to answer any questions you might have of someone who watches the show and whose loathing of the fandom ebbs and flows with EqD postings. Cheers!

I watch the series but find that the plastic figures are inferior to what we had in the 80's. I don't hate Krosp. Here's a topic from another board I frequent. http://www.writingforums.org/threads/bronies-and-non-bronies.130981/ I find that teenage brony stories are irritating from both sides. Why let people know that you have an unpopular like when the bullies have acne sufferers to beat up on? The bully will look worse if he's picking on someone who can't help it.
