  1. So, until a few days ago, I considered myself a very creative and imaginative person. I have always loved sci fi and fantasy, and creating my own worlds and such. For years now I have actually been working on creating a world and trying to write a book. Then about two weeks ago, I started really looking through my notes and my world and realized that every single idea I had in there was basically a rip off of someone else's idea. Every thought or idea I thought I cam up with was inspired or based off of someone else's work. Every Character, location, story, and object was not my own. I'm having a crisis of creativity. But being inspired isn't a bad thing. using other peoples ideas as a base and making them your own isn't inherently wrong. Very few ideas are 100% original, but what if 100% of your ideas aren't original. When does inspiration become copying, and when does copying become plagiarism. I'm not sure what i'm looking for here, your opinions words of advice on how to be more creative and original, weather being inspired to much is bad thing, or weather you can never have to much inspiration. where the line between being inspired and copying someone else's work is. I just feel like i have never had an original thought or idea, I have just been copy my favorite authors work, reshaping it, and calling it my own.
  2. Okay, so I literally just beat Dark Souls for the first time. And I must say, I think it is the greatest game I have ever played by far. But that aside, I know i didn't get anywhere near to finding everything, exploring everywhere, and soaking up as much lore as i can. I LOVE lore. Doesn't matter if its a game, book, movie, you name it and I want to know everything about it. That being said, I want to learn as much as possible about dark souls lore, and explore and find everything (if that's even possible) but I want to do so without looking online as much as possible. So my question is, what is the est way to discover things in game, starting a totally new game file? or go new game plus? How much changes in new game plus? does everything totally reset, meaning any unique items i might have accidentally feed to frampt would re appear in their place? or are they gone for good? Any light you can shed on how to do this spoiler free (meaning lore spoilers) would be awesome, thanks.
  3. Ok, so i have known about fallout equestria for some time now but only a few weeks ago got into the actual fallout games for the first time and LOVE them! I am dying to dive head first into the fallout equestria universe but with the shear amount of content I don't know where to start. I am looking for help to find a good starting point as far as official story goes, (i know its a fan thing but I know it has the whole little pip story) so any help you can give me as to where to start would be awesome. Thanks!
  4. straight as the shortest distance between two points baby! but I totally support marriage equality for everyone's unique sexuality, and my brother and sister are both bisexual.
  5. Thanks so much, i'll probably just end up deleting the content for now then eventually get the official 200gb Microsoft hard drive when I have the money. Thanks I did some research and it looks like if i use a USB to much it will corrupt the data, but thanks though!
  6. Ok, so I have an Xbox 360 slim, i didn't know it was the slim until today when I tried to download a dlc, before now I have only ever played skyrim on it. But now that I have more games and DLCs I can't fit it all on the small 4 gigabyte memory. I was wondering if anyone knows hoe to increase my hard rive space to say... 50 or more gigs. I have done some research online but I was looking for a cost effective and easy way to do this (as well as being safe for my xbox) any help would be great!
  7. Ok pony folks, I have been building props and costumes on an amateur level for some time now, but up until this point it has been small, low quality stuff, nothing very impressive, but it allowed me to build up my skills. So now, I want to go all out and build a full scale, high quality prop/costume and do it right! The problem is, I am having trouble picking what to build. I was kinda thinking something sci-fi, like maybe a full suit of halo ODST armor, or a full scale laser rifle from fallout. I am looking for suggestions as to what to build, I would be good if you could suggest something that goes with my theme (Sci-fi military) from video games or movies, ie. Star wars, halo, mass effect, fallout, edge of tomorrow. But any cool and interesting suggestions are more than welcome. I should note though, that I don't really know how to sew, so try to stay away from things that use a bunch of fabric. There is no way in hell I'm building a fur suit. The mane idea is though, I want to build something I can take to this years Comic Con and really impress people with it. I want to build something impressive that not only test my skills as a prop/costume maker, but I want to be able to show it off too. Ideally something unique that's not over done. Any help you ponies can give me would be very helpful, thanks!
  8. DAMN!!!!! Very impressive, I mean really very good. Great rendition of show style Lyra.
  9. I have actually played minecraft and yes, it is awesome! Wow ! thank you all for your help and recommendations, I finally decided to go with fallout 3, dark souls, and oblivion. (I also got skyrim and fallout new Vegas because i didn't actually own my own copies) Cant wait to play them all!
  10. Okay ponies. I have 80 bucks, an xbox 360, and am looking to get some games, but there are just too many options and I cant decide which ones to buy. I have played most of the zelda games, skyrim, far cry 3, fallout new Vegas, the portal games, and mindcraft. I like sci fi and fantasy, rpgs, and first person shooters. I don't have a problem with hard or difficult games, in fact i enjoy them the more challenging. So give me any recommendations you have in as much detail as possible. Thanks for the help.
  11. I was doing some thinking on pony armor, specificly the helmets and realized a flaw in the design As you can see all of these helmets have little to no ear protection. Allowing an enemy to injure or cut off the ears very easily. in my picture bellow I fixed the problem. (i was in a hurry and did a simple sketch, so don't hate on me for art quality, im not a great drawer, even in inkscape) my fairly simple but improved design would add small curved ear gaurds to the helmet with small holes or slits in them to allow for hearing. This simple add on would protect the ears from any frontal attacks. I left the back open on this design to allow for better hearing and to keep to keep the head cool. but full ear covers could be added. If you guys like this sort of thing let me know ( pony armor practicality analysis). I am an armature medieval arms and armor nerd and have a couple more things like this that I could go into great detail on. hope you find this interesting.
  12. Damn she just looks so good in armor.
  13. Very good. I mean it is really very well done. You could even start doing commissions. Stick with it and you'll do great things.
