Well, while I'm here, I might as well whine and moan about how I keep myself from ever getting anything done.

So, in case my signature and About Me does not stress it enough, I'm writing a story. It's gonna be a bit longer than something I'd normally write...as in, a planned four volumes all tying into one main plot. Wanna read? Click the image in my siggy. But I didn't come here to advertise. I came here to pour my writing process thoughts onto paper. Er, screen.

It took me a couple of weeks to write the prologue and chapter 1 of OTSW. And then a couple more weeks of needless fiddling and editing until it was just right. And I have no doubt in my mind that I will be back to editing by the end of the week! And that is my problem. I'm a compulsive editor. It HAS to be just right before I can show anyone - even my editors! Not that that last part is a huge problem. I don't have any editors for this bad body yet...

So with this project I am going to try and train that compulsive behavior out of me. I know it won't be easy, but it would help if I had a fanbase of any size pestering me to make legitimate progress and not sit around twiddling my thumbs. (Yes, this entry went from being about thought processes to shameless self-promotion. Deal with it.) So tell your friends, tell your neighbors, tell your cat that Kolth is writing a lame story!

And for those curious as to what the story is about, all I'll say is that it is a science-fiction/adventure novel that uses and abuses many different fictional worlds. And yes, I tried to actually put science to it. Sort of. So it is not one of those "I woke up in Equestria and have no idea how it happened" stories. And, while I'm on that topic, it isn't a stricly MLP-only story. I'm unoriginal enough that I tossed a couple other universes in there too. And don't worry, I have a good reason to do that.

So anyway, entry one is wrapping up. I might try next entry as a sort of play-by-play as I write the next chapter. Sort of a "What is going on in Kolth's mind as he writes?" type of entry. Or maybe I'll just rant some more.
