League of Legends: Twisted treeline update
So, this is my first entry for my blog of Gaming fun , while i was more intrested in making a blog, than actually blogging about something useful, today i thought i'd talk about the new Twisted treeline reboot for Riot's League of Legends.
Now, for those of you have played League of Legends with me, you'll probably know i am most adept at the support role. When it comes to twisted treeline, this isn't too much of an exception. While you don't specificaly play a support, you jungle, which can be quite fun. So currently the meta is very new, with all these re works there is no telling what will come of it. However you will have a jungle role, because the map is so much smaller than summoner's rift, it makes ganking alot simpler, the main issue however is the lack of creeps, while they are no longer random, there aren't too many of them.
So, the new interesting things to note, in the center of the map we have a nice speed buff, we all love speed buffs right? From the few games i've played so far, this speed buff is note worthy, in the early Games before the alters unlock, and the minions have spawned, you can ustilise this to get a quick advantage on trying to take the enemy's alter. It is however very risky as they are likely hiding in the bush and going to ambush you. The alters unlock after the minions on both sides have clashed. So the choice to farm or take an alter is one people will contemplate, i personaly believe that taking the alters to be better. The Bonus gold is fantastic, and if you control two of them the buffs are great .
Another cool thing is the bonus gold you start with, you can use ti to buy a GP5 item, or boots and dorans, or whatever takes your fancy really, i like to stick with these two options, the avalible, i think this distrested me most when iw as playing Vayne, no Guardian angel, and no Blood thirster.
So, in my first game, i decided to stick with my usual character for Twisted Treeline, Nunu. Nunu is alot of fun for TT, i would go as far to say the ultimate support for the map. You spend you time jungling, and ganking, his ganks are legendary. I find the hard part is getting a good entrance to gank, however, the speed buff takes care of this nicely(both Nunu's and the one in the center of the map).
Now, Dragon has been replaced with a vile monsterous creature, Vilemaw. Now, in every game i've played so far, a team is going to try and attack this creature head on, as if it were Dragon, don't, you can't take him on at level 10, he's just too strong. I made the mistake once, and then every opponent team seemed to make that mistake. He's monsterous, it's like trying to take on Baron at level 12 with three players.
So, i've really enjoyed playign the new version of Twisted treeline, i will perhaps have to play it more often with my group of friends. Tune in later on Monday(Probably sunday for most of you) for my report on Pokemon Battle roads in burwood, where i will compete against players from across the country in the Pokemon Card game. If you have any other games you'd like me to do an entry for, please post them in the comments section, feedback always apreciated
Until then, I wander further.
